Question about Samsung Blackjack SGH-I607 Smartphone
I ran into the same exact issue. Here is a simple fix:
With the phone off, hold UP on the center D-pad and then power on. It tells you to press 1 to reformat and reboot, or press any other key to skip. Note that this process will erase all files (contacts, 3rd party applications, calendar entries, pictures, videos, etc.) and settings on your Blackjack and make it as fresh as the day you bought it. The hard reset fixed the problem in about 30 seconds.
If you talk to ATT person, they will simply ask you to get a new phone. I had debated getting a new phone but finally searching on the web helped find another person who had the exact same issue and mentioned it. So I thought I would share with others. Good luck.

I need more info... what did you to with it? Did you try to unlock it? Does it just get stuck or does it display 'phone freeze' or 'contact service provider'?
