Hi,
a 6ya Technician can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repair professionals here in the US.
click here to Talk to a Technician (only for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
Goodluck!

SOURCE: Nissan Pulsar N14 Manual Gearstick Rattles

This is common for that transmission, it will eventually lead to 5th gear POPOUT, where it will actually pop itself out of 5th gear... I would get a second opinion to be sure, but looks like a rebuild is near maybe.. :(

SOURCE: how can I reprogram Nissan

You will need to turn the ignition on (do not start the car) turn on the radio and leave it on for anywhere between 1 - 3hrs untill it prompts you for a code.

There is a internal timer which adds time depending on how many times the code is entered wrongly.

Do not start the car, or turn off the ignition or radio during the 1 - 3 hr period.

Hope this helps.

Thank you

Adam

How do I unlock radio in Nissan pulsar 1996

When you disconnect your battery and then reconnect it again, it disables the radio. This is an anti-theft radio protection.
The enable your radio the activation code is in your vehicle owner's manual. If you do not have this code you need to go to your Nissan service centre and get them to enter this code for you.

if you do not have the number in you owners manual then you will need to call the dealer with the VIN and they will help you with the steps.
