SOURCE: Megellan Maestro 4210 gps slow to find current location

I recommend you to reset it . Resetting should solve this problem .

Here is how to reset your Maestro :

1:Locate the button marked "Reset" on the left, right or bottom of the unit.
2:Using a thin object, such as a paper clip, depress the button for two to three seconds. The unit should reset.
3:If the unit does not reset, immediately press the button again and hold it for up to 10 seconds.

Is the Garmin 4210 Obsolete?

Are paper maps useful in the age of the smartphone? Of course. If the satellites are knocked silent by a major electromagnetic storm you will not be able to use anything else.
As long as the maps are reasonably current and the GPS works correctly it is not obsolete. For people who can afford latest gadgets, things go out of style rather quickly.

My aunt just arrived here in the philippines and she's from texas, problem is she gave me a magella maestro 4210 navigator, and it wont work and cant find my way, it still displays road from america, help...

Hi,

You will have to purchase maps for your location in order for the GPS to work in your country.
You can get these maps on a memory card from a strore that sells the same GPS.
Once you use your country's maps you will be able to use the GPS for navigation.

Hope this helps
