Can i leave the dyson V7 plugged into the wall socket even after the machine is fully charged?

Best practice is to remove the plug.

In the old days of ni-cad batteries the high rate of self-discharge meant a machine that had to be permanently ready for use had to be left plugged in.
Today lithium batteries are used with a negligible self-discharge and it is neither necessary or desirable to leave them plugged in.

You should of course refer to the instruction manual for a definitive answer.

If the electronic charging circuitry is perfect the charging unit can safely be left plugged in indefinitely, but how many things are perfect...

Can't lower handle on Hoover u6432-900 so can't clean floo

usually theres a plastic pedal you would step on to release the handle.... first thing i would try is pushing up (foreward) on the handle and try pressing the pedal .if the pedal wont push down at all then something might have gotten jammed down in it..... at which point you'd have to do a bit of fiddling around with it to see whats keeping it jammed up.....also... there could be something stuck in there thats keeping the handle from being able to move down.... as for the self propelled part.... it probably wont work untilthe handle is lowered... hope this helps

Eureka lightforce 300 poor suction, power paw doesn't spin and self cleaning duster doesn't clean its self when the button is depressed.

When this happens to me I do two things. The first is to empty the cannister but when you do (with the vacuum unplugged) stick your hand up inside of where the cannister goes.Sometimes that is filled with debris. Pull as much as you can out. There is another part inside there that you can twist and pull out - this will help you pull out more of the trapped debris. Replace that part and the cannister - usually there's a blockage and just removing some of that debris will cause a bunch more to dump in to the cannister. You may have to repeat this process two or 3 times untill no more debris comes out when you turn the vacuum back on.

The second tip solution is to clean the filter which can be found on the front of the vacuum. There's a clear plastic cover, a black rectangular this that hold the filter sponge and inside of that, the filter sponge. I just rinse the little sponge inside and shake off the thing that holds the sponge (Sorry, don't know the technical terms). Put it back together and you should have suction - viola.

Hope this helps.

Brush will not turn and machine has stop self-propelling forward.

Two things to check out. 1- Any broken belts that need to be replaced? 2- Brush is frozen and needs to be removed, cleaned and lubricated and reassembled.
My guess is there is a problem with the belts.

My vacumn wont pick anything up and it wont self propel. I checked the belt - it is fine.

There are numerous things to check.
  1. Check for hose clog
  2. Brush belt has many hairs and doesn't move
  3. Brush belt broken/loose
  4. Vaccum bag is full
  5. Height adjustment according to floor.

Self Propelled does not work

if you look below the headlamp of your vac you will find a cable that attach's to a piece called the actuator arm. either this piece is likely broke or the cable itself. always work the power drive smoothly or things will break. also could be that the smooth belt is stretched and will cause the same problem. belts should be replaced every 4 months. good news is all parts above should be under $5. dont let anyone tell you that you need a power drive assy, that usually isnt the case. good luck!!!

Self propelled function

There are few things that may have gone wrong:
First thing to check is if when pushing pedal it moves gears located on the rear axle (you will have to take cover shell off to see that)
If that works fine then primary belt may be broken (see it here). Then just replace entire set to make sure that belt type matches gears
Last - the most expensive problem - the main transmission belt within transmission is broken (then I would recommend replacing entire transmission)

Accessing self-propelled cable

The first thing to do is replace the flat belt (38528035), this belt will stretch after a short period, it is the one that drives the drive mech. Also the cable may have broke, if you look down on the right side, you can see the cable, did it break there or is the #34 actuator(#43143046) that the cable attaches to broke. The cable (#43211019)sometimes breaks on the upper end #14, take the handle off and you will be able to tell.
