Power Source

  • Before delving into other potential problems, first check that your dryer is fully connected to a working power source. If the dryer itself is already plugged in, try connecting it to a different plug-in receptacle or try plugging another appliance that you know is working properly into the same receptacle. Keep in mind, however, that a standard electrical dryer requires a 240-volt circuit, not a standard 120-volt circuit. If other appliances don't work in the same plug, try switching your circuit breaker off and on, in case your circuit has a blown fuse. Continue your inspection of any possible power source problems by inspecting the full length of your dryer's electrical cord. Check that it isn't worn through or damaged at some point. If you do find that the cord has exposed wiring, shut off all electrical power before handling the damaged cord.
  • Door Sensor
  • Generally, a clothes dryer starts only when its door is firmly shut. Check that you have fully shut the door, with any latch fully engaged, before pressing the "Press to Start" button. The unit has to mechanically or electronically monitor whether the door is opened or closed, and if the door-sensoring device doesn't work, your dryer may not start. Inspect any physical sensor, which should appear like a small finger or protruding button in the door jamb, which you can easily depress. Check that it isn't broken off, bent or stuck. If other courses of action do not work, you might try replacing the door-switch sensor or actuator. It's usually located inside the dryer's main housing, near the frame of the door.
  • Internal Wiring and Mechanics
  • If none of the basic troubleshooting actions work, your dryer may not start because of more complex issues related to internal wiring or mechanical components, such as the motor. To avoid these more complex issues, check that you are keeping the dryer's lint drawer and exhaust duct clean; lint build-up is a major avoidable cause of overheating among mechanical and electrical elements. To narrow down the problem, start by checking the thermal fuse, which blows if the dryer overheats. It's approximately 1 inch in length, and is usually located at the back of the dryer, beside the exhaust duct. If it has blown, you will have to replace it.

How to i instal sound drive for my pc?

    Hello

    1. Power on your computer. Ensure that there is a sound device installed on your computer. You can locate your sound device by right clicking on "My Computer." Click "Properties." Select "Device Manager." Click on "Sound." Your sound device should be listed. If there is no sound device listed, you will have to purchase and install a sound device before proceeding.

    2. Insert the CD or floppy disk that contains the drivers for your sound device into your computer's CD-ROM or floppy disk drive. If you do not have the CD or floppy disk that contains the sound device drivers, there are websites such as Driver Guide and NoDevice that will allow you to download the drivers online for free.

    3. Click on "Install Drivers." The sound device drivers will then be installed onto your computer. It may be necessary to restart your computer once the installation is complete.

    4. Open your media player and play an audio file to ensure that your sound device drivers were installed successfully.

    THANK YOU

How can i fix my audio suon

Method 1: Restart the computer Restart the computer at least one time after you install a Windows Vista service pack to verify that all processes related to the installation are complete.

After you restart the computer, determine whether you can hear sound. If you can hear sound, the issue is resolved. If you cannot hear sound, try Method 2. uparrow.gifBack to the top Method 2: Try another sound deviceIf it is possible, try plugging a different sound device into the computer. For example, if you were using speakers, try a different pair of speakers or a set of headphones to make sure that the problem is not related to the sound device.

Determine whether you can hear sound. If you can hear sound, there is a problem with the original sound device and the issue is resolved. If you cannot hear sound, plug the original sound device back into the computer, and then go to Method 3. uparrow.gifBack to the top Method 3: Unplug the computer speakersUnplug the computer speakers or other sound devices that you may be using, such as headphones, from the computer and then plug them back in to the same port. Most sound cards that are compatible with Windows Vista include a feature that detects sound devices plugged into the audio jack. This procedure may prompt the audio detection feature to detect and configure the sound device to make sound.

Determine whether you can now hear sound. If you can hear sound, the issue is resolved. If you cannot hear sound, try Method 4. uparrow.gifBack to the top Method 4: Verify that the default sound device is set correctlyAfter you install a Windows Vista service pack, you may find that the default sound device, also known as the playback device, was changed. You may also find that the sound quality has changed. Make sure that the default sound device is set correctly for the sound device that you are using. To set the default device, follow these steps:
    1. Click Start vistastartbutton.jpg, type Sound in the Start Search box.
    2. Click Sound in the search results at the top of the Start menu.
    3. Click the Playback tab. Notice the check mark next to the default device. For most users, the default device is Speakers. Make sure that your audio settings are configured as expected. Follow these steps:
      1. On the Playback tab, select the playback device, click Properties, click the Advanced tab, and make sure that the Default Format is set to the value that you expect. When you finish, close this window to return to the previous window.
      2. On the Playback tab, select the playback device, click Configure, and then make sure the configurations are set correctly.
If the sound settings are set correctly, you are using speakers as the sound device, and your speakers are already set as the default device, go to method 5 now.
    4. Select the sound device that you want as the default sound device, and then click Set Default.
    5. Click OK to save your settings and to close the Sound dialog box.
Determine whether you can now hear sound. If you can hear sound, the issue is resolved. If you cannot hear sound, try method 5. uparrow.gifBack to the top Method 5: Verify that a sound driver is installedWithout a sound driver, you will not hear sound. Make sure that a sound driver is installed. To do this, follow these steps:
    1. Click Start vistastartbutton.jpg, type Device Manager in the Start Search box, and then press ENTER.
    2. In the Device Manager dialog box, expand Sound, video, and game controllers.

If there is a speaker icon next to the sound driver, the driver is installed. If there is a yellow question mark next to the sound driver, the driver is not present or will not load.
Go to method 6 to reload the current sound driver and test for sound. uparrow.gifBack to the top Method 6: Reload the current sound driver If you discovered in method 5 that the sound driver was not installed, or if you discovered that the sound driver was installed but is not working, try to reload the sound driver. To do this, follow these steps:
    1. Click Start vistastartbutton.jpg, type Device Manager in the Start Search box, and then press ENTER.
    2. In the Device Manager dialog box, expand Sound, video, and game controllers.
    3. Locate the audio device that was included with the computer.
    4. Right-click the device, and then click Properties.
    5. Click the Driver tab, and then click Uninstall.
    6. Make sure that the Delete the Driver Software for this device check box is cleared, and then click OK.
    7. In the Device Manager dialog box, click the Action menu, and then click Scan for hardware changes.

You receive a message that states that a hardware device is being installed, and then the uninstalled audio device appears in Device Manager.
    8. Close the Device Manager dialog box.
Determine whether you can now hear sound. If you can hear sound, the issue is resolved. If the current sound driver did not reload or if it did reload, but you cannot hear sound, try method 7. uparrow.gifBack to the top Method 7: Update the current sound driver If the current sound driver does not seem to be working, see whether there is an updated sound driver that you can install. To request an updated sound driver, contact the manufacturer of the sound driver.

For information about how to contact hardware and software vendors, visit the following Microsoft Web site: http://support.microsoft.com/gp/vendors/en-usNote In some cases, the manufacturer may instruct you to uninstall the current sound driver and to delete the driver files. To do this, follow the steps in method 5, but at step 6, click to select the Delete the Driver Software for this device check box.

No sound , sound drivers are working

Most common reasons for this trouble are:
    • Such kind of troubles arise after some device / software is installed which tries to gain control as default sound device.
    • Also while un-installation of certain softwares, some shared files are removed. At times some important shared file can be deleted which causes troubles with working of sound drivers.
    • While installing certain games, it tries to gain control of sound or video drivers and may accidentally harm these driver softwares.
Lets see the ways to fix such troubles

Step1 : First of all check what is your default audio device setting. For this, open Control Panel > Sounds and audio devices, open Audio tab as shown in picture below.
    774a71c.jpg
See that the Device selected is your sound-card or on-board audio device. It should not be blank or some modem device. Set the Default sound playback and sound recording device correctly from the drop down menu. If your device is not there in this list see the step 2.

Step2: If the step 1 is not successful, it means that your sound device driver software has become either corrupt or has been accidentally un-installed. In such case, install the sound driver from the sound-card/mother-board driver CD. You can also download the latest driver if you don’t have the driver CD. After you install the driver, restart your computer, and then check the settings as in step 1 again
