Question about Nintendo Super NES Console

1 Answer

Console powers on, sound works and everything. The screen is just different colors and toggled and such. Kind of like the game is not getting a good connection or something.. What can I do to fix it? What would be the best way to clean it?

It could be that the cable is starting to wear down and break. You can purchase another one at
http://www.kenslog.com/SNESstore.html or try your luck and either move the cable around and angle it to work or give the tv a slight hit (if its an old TV that has trouble grabbing video outputs).

Screen flashes white then goes black

Sounds like a ribbon cable to the top screen maybe damaged. Upon startup, the ds does a systems check, any kind of failure e.g. a ribbon cable or a faulty screen would cause the console to shut down again. Presuming everything else works charging etc this is most likely to be the problem.

I bought an intec gamecube color screen and everything works accept that the sound output is EXTREMELY fuzzy. I plugged in all the wires I could that came with the screen, but there is an empty outlet that...

AV-in is for using the screen for an alternate input, such as a different console. If the sound is fuzzy, you may have a dirty connector or port. It's also possible the speaker(s) are bad. I've seen bad soldering connections or damaged wiring cause this on the inside also.

Well, Sega's aren't known to be long lasting, but if it isn't an issue with the console itself you could try checking all of your cords, assuring they are plugged in good and tight to both your console and screen. Faulty cords can easily be overlooked. If your discs aren't working, but you're hearing the music from different ones and no picture, it sounds like an issue with one of your video jacks, so make sure everything is properly plugged in.
Failing that, bring it to a retro gaming shop to have it looked at or test it at someone else's place.

Hi, I have hooked up by PS3 to my flat screen tv and now have no sound for the game everything else has sound what can i do to solve this

Are you using hdmi cable? I would try different hdmi input or try different cable if you have one. If still using a/v cable make sure the white and red audio cable are plugged to the same input as your video. If that doesn't work you can try resetting the video on your ps3 by holding the power button until you get the 2 beeps.

something is wrong with connection with the bottom and the top screen. If you have ever dropped it that could happen. If all is bad try a new battery.
