a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).

to avoid this scenario avoid moving the console while the disc is still inside the console
technically your disc is broken

Xbox keeps disk is unreadable (the disk is new)

The laser is old and weak and is unable to read duel layer disks (games)

You have two options

1 take it to a shop ,and have them swap out the laser for 70.00-80.00
I normally swap out the whole drive for the same price.

2 buy a laser online for your specific drive ,cost 20.00-30.00
and install it your self.

choise is yours.

If you need more info ask

Corrupted hard disk?

If your ps3 is still under warranty, call Sony and they will have to fix it.

Also if you still have your receipt, take it back to where you bought it and they might give you a new one.

If not, you can try re-formating your hard drive in another computer.
