Question about Frigidaire ATF6000ES Front Load Washer
I have the front loader GSTF7200DSO. It was working fine, and then I notice a F04 error code. It fills with water, but wash cycle won't begin. It just sits there and the drum will not tumble. It will drain the water, but again, the tumble and spin cycle will not begin...any ideas....? This washer is about 3 years old, and the pump has been replaced.
Because F04 is not a clearly defined failure, the possible cause of your situation is a timer, a lid switch, a belt, a drive motor, or an agitator.
Solution, before proceeding watch your timer (does it follows its cycle?) if no replace timer, if yes, then check your lid switch replace if defective, check your belt if it broken or worn replace it, check your drive motor for functionality, and check your agitator--your agitator can become worn, strip out the spline that allows it to properly grip the shaft.
