This one is more difficult as they are old. This is from the Penn reels website.

  • In 1922, Otto Henze left Germany at age 25 and came to the United States.
  • He began working as a machinist for the Ocean City Reels Company of Philadelphia.
  • But Mr. Henze had greater aspirations. Mr. Henze dreamed of one day owning his own company, and building fishing reels that would set world records.

Salt water corrosion will not be the problem. Salt water will cause short circuit in the components. Highly unlikely you can fix this player even if you clean it up.

Dishwasher is not draining properly. Left the lid off the salt portal.

If anything other than salt can enter the salt portal, the decalcification system might get broken. I once, by accident, filled the cleaning agent into the salt compartment. The whole decalcification system had to be exchanged. The technician said, that nothing else but salt should enter the salt compartment and even leaving the lid open while using the machine can compromise its functionality.

My generator keeps flashing low salt so I have added salt to the point the water is just about as salty as the ocean, and it is still showing low salt. What is the problem?

Have your water tested professionally at your pool supply place. You should have between 2400 and 4000 ppm ... ideal is 3400 salt. It could be that you have too much ... have it checked before you do anything else. If you have too much ... you will have to dump some water and put in fresh ...

I dropped my samsung dual camera in the ocean. I took the battery out right away and Let it dry for few days. I even tried using a blow dryer to give it warm heat. It still won't turn on all the way, but...

The problem with dropping it in the ocean is the salt. Unless something can be immediately well flushed with pure water, the salt coats and corrodes as it dries. There is no getting around that you need to take it to a serviceman for at least cleaning, possibly parts replacement if they are destroyed.

Oh boy, ocean water has salt in it, which just
eats away at the electronics of the camera.
Salt water is worse than fresh water, but any water can cause damage.

    Self-timer light stays on

Salt Water is like the Acid in a car battery...once you drop a camera in the ocean its basically Done! Salt water is a conductor of electricity and will short out parts of the circuit board(s). The best thing you could have done was take it apart and have the circuit boards Sonically cleaned by a jeweler or a place that has the capability to sonically clean electronics. This involves Total disassembly of your camera however. Sometimes its not worth it.Sounds like you still have some salt residue inside the contacts that tell the camera that the self timer switch is "made" or Shorted.
Some CRC Electronic cleaner may work as well...thats the easiest solution. Take it apart and Drench the boards, Contacts with Electro cleaner. Thats where I would start if you can remember how to put things back together.
