SOURCE: no ice setting in upper

Cold air goes down and especially hangs right around the area where the heat is removed (cold is generated). A fan exists which continually moves the air around in the chamber so that there will be no warm spots. Opening the door allows a spring loaded switch to move toward the opening which shuts the air circulating fan off so that cold air will not be blown out of the fridge or freezer while the door is open.
Depress the switch. Does it click? Some switches do not make an audible click. Can you hear the fan turn on? The switch is in the door jamb. The fan is behind the vent holes in the compartment.
:o).

I have a Kelvinator upright freezer model k330uf the bottom section does not work

Sounds like its got blockage.
There is a channel that allows cold air to "fall" into the bottom chamber. There is also a return. Typically the "fall" chamber is choked with either something that fell in and was trapped, frozen solid with ice or algie has grown and closed the hole.
The best thing to do is empty it completely and inspect the drop channel.
Put all your frozen goods in ice chests to keep them from thawing out.
Good Luck.

"Hi, I have a questions

It seems you will need a service technician again. Be sure you got a warranty if you agreed to service your refrigerator. If you use the refrigerator correctly it will never go bad for less than a year and call for service repair. But if you definitely used it correctly, chances are the refrigerator you brought have a factory defect.
I hope my advice help you.

I have a Kelvinator KC1 37A fridge freezer and the freezer section keeps icing up far too much. After defrosting within 3 days it has iced so much that the door won't shut. It only seems to have one dial...

A couple of things can cause this problem.

First - has the one temperature control you mentioned been accidentally changes to a lower temperature? If so, turn it down a notch or two.

Second - Is the door's rubber gasket worn, out of place or needs cleaning and not sealing properly?
If this is the case, it's letting warm air in and causing it to liquefy and for frost/ice in the freezer compartment. Open the Freezer compartment door and carefully inspect the gasket. If it has moved and out of place anywhere on the door frame, put it back in place. Is the door gasket dirty? If so, clean it with mild soap and water. Dry it and close the door.

To check to see if the door gasket is sealing tight, open the door and stick an unfolded dollar bill between the gasket and the freezer compartment opening. Close the door and try to pull the bill out. Do this in several places all around the door. If the bill pulls out easily, then the door gasket needs to be replaced. You can probably replace it yourself, if you can find a supplier for the gasket.

I suggest you try the following link, as they stock a lot of parts for Kelvinator appliances

Hope this helps solve your problem.

Ice Jam in Chute - Whirlpool IDI SxS

first check would be to see if the flapper door is closing all the way in the dispenser area. best way is to remove the ice bucket and shine a flashlight from the front up into the disp door area and look for light around the door from inside the chute.

another check would be to make sure the door delay mechanism is connected an not allowing the dispenser door to close to fast trapping a cubes in the door and causing an air leak in the chute..

Keep in mind if you use alot of crushed ice frost build up is faster than with just cubed.
