There is a variety of problems in the wii that carry that same message. This thread solves one problem by deleting any large messages in your wii. You might also want to update your firmware in your Wii by going to the settings on your wii and checking there. If the problem is still there, then you unfortunately have to send in your Wii for repair.

You can most certainly connect more than one console to a single TV. I would recommend calling a professional service. I own a shop in Central GA. JuiceBox Gaming Systems 1-800-479-4620 give us a call, we will try our best free over the phone to get you going. It is much easier talking through a problem.

When i go on the sd card to play games, It says "an error has occured. Press and hold the power button to turn it off. Please the Nintendo operations manual for help troubleshooting? PLease help, I...

Is this a Nintendo Wii? If so, not all games will work directly from the SD card.
If the console shuts down straight away just by accessing the SD card menu, then it's probably just the SD card itself causing the problem.

Make sure you are using the correct type of SD card. Also, make sure you have no corrupt files (i.e. music, photos, pirated games). here's some information Nintendo have posted themselves regarding SD card compatability:

Not all SD Cards are compatible with the Wii console. Please read the following:

  • The Wii console is only compatible with SD Cards that are 2 GB (Gigabyte) or less. Cards with a capacity higher than 2 GB will likely not work with the Wii console.
  • SD Cards with a slow speed may experience slow transfer time when loading files, or may not work at all. Slow transfer times can also occur with SD Cards that have a great number of files on them.
  • While any SD Card with the above specifications may work, Nintendo has licensed specific SD Cards for use with the Wii console. You can identify these cards by the Nintendo Seal on the packaging of the SD Card.

Okay my wii comes on and starts to play and then a message pops up it says... an error has accured. press the eject button and remove the disc, then turn the wii console off and refer to the wii operations...

The best thing to do is to refer back to the manual for the troubleshooting.
If you have lost the manual, here is a link to it.

"An error has occurred. Press the Eject Button and remove the disc, then turn the Wii console off and refer to the Wii operations Manual for help troubleshooting."

You need to replace the laser in your Wii. You can find them online and you shouldn't pay more than $50.00
