Its better to Reinstall the OS other than spending lots of time trobleshooting.

Interactive logon process failed

I would attempt either trying to login as administrator, and if not then a Windows OS repair with the operating system disk. This should repair any of the OS files allowing you to login again.

When i turn on the computer it turn dark and said auto adjusting in progress. You can push the off & on button and the logon screen come on.

This sounds normal. Each time you entergize your monitor when it is connected to a cpu that is powered on, it has to decern what the signal is and adjust its internal logic processor accordingly.

Have used for 3 1/2 years no problems. 1 day on working great, left for about hour & back to black screen. When computer first starts, I get welcome screen, then nothing the menu lights on right light...

Have you tried it on another computer? if not please do it. Your monitor problem seems with the CPU not booting up properly. You can also try with another monitor on the computer. Please confirm after you are done with the results. Thanks.

Monitor cuts off

This could be the result of a few different things. If you haven't checked, click start, control panel, performance and maintenance, and power options. In this box, there should be numerous setting possibly pertaining to your specific problem. Also, ensure your cpu fan is running. A failed cpu fan will make your monitor turn off. Additionally you will have to make sure your power supply isn't bad. The easy fix is the first of the issues though.

My Soyo DYLM1986 won't come on and is clicking inside. I have rebooted the computer, disconnected & reconnected from the CPU & monitor. Can you reccommend anything to help? Cindy

Most common failure in the LCD monitors are bad capacitors (bulging top/seal or leaking) in the power supply, failed inverter circuits (blown fuse, shorted transistors, shorted/open transformers), bad lamps (poor solder connections or worn out lamps). You will need to open it up and inspect the inside, see example of failed monitors to get some ideas what goes wrong: http://s807.photobucket.com/home/budm/allalbums
Post back what you see inside so we can guide you further.

My computer cant turn on and its making noises

Did you your CPU Fan inside, that's the one who make some noises inside.
If your computer is failing to start then check CPU inside, all the peripherals double check on it. From VGA Card, Memory and other devices, maybe its not properly connected inside. Good luck!

L1932TQ Fails on Desktop, works on Notebook

it simply means that your cpu is not giving back signal to your monitor to process, in fact, it is a cpu problem that is why there is nothing to display in your monitor.

Your cpu froze because of that usb thing. the only way to unfreeze it is to manually reset your hardware in this order.

1. RAM modules. If you can unplug your RAM (memory modules) connected in your motherboard, please do it. Just unplug the modules and then plug it back in. if you have 2 rams, then interchange them when plugging it back. this will force your mobo to refresh its resources.

2. CPU. if you can pull out your cpu chip, then do it. this will refresh your cpu setting in your mobo. (mobo = motherboard)

Regards!

Try Screen switch function to switch from Internal screen to External monitor to Both.
Normally FN + F4 (on Compaq or FN + F7 on Lenovo check the Function symbols on your Keyboard: allow few seconds after command to refresh configuration.
try Safe mode also. to check if display shows in VGA format.
