Question about Televison & Video

1 Answer

Hi - my kids have just bought a PS3 and we connected it to our 5+ year old Fujitsu 42" plasma panel (P42HHA51AS) via HDMI cable. Great picture, but no sound. Any ideas? Many thanks.

Try adjusting the audio settings in the PS3. Change them to pcm or 48khz/96khz.

How do you connect a fujitsu p42vca30eh to a BT Vision box? Which cables are needed? Thanks Emma

You should use a HDMI cable. This cable will carry the audio and video from your Vision box to your plasma screen. Connect the cable to the HDMI port on the vision box and the other end to HDMI 1 on your TV. Once that is done turn on the vision box and then the TV and switch the TV to HDMI 1 using your tv remote and then once you have a picture use your vision box remote to change channels and perform other functions. techpunk_0.jpgtechpunk.jpg

Only Black and White picture is displayed when devices are connected via RCA cables. The picture colors are fine via the Comcast cable connection. What could be the problem and How can it be fixed?

there should be other inputs like S-Video or HDMI. To convert the signal-go to E-BAY and type in "RCA to HDMI"(for example). Got my converter cable there for $5.00 while RADIO SHACK wanted $30.00!

PS3 not working on 42'' JVC via HDMI cable port

I have the PS3 and this TV and it works....Try this.

1. Turn ON TV
2. Connect HDMI from TV to PS3
3. Select the correct HDMI input on the TV for the PS3(important)
4.Turn OFF PS3 if it is ON.
5. hold [I/O] Power button on PS3
6. Wait about 5 second and you should get the "HDMI Detected" or some similar message.
7. Configure the HDMI output for the PS3

Also, If you set the PS3 to "auto" for hdmi, it may set the resolution to 1080i. You may want to deselect everthing but the 1080P.

PS3 hdmi connection

With your PS3 on standby (red light) hold the on/off button down until it goes green and then back to red. This restores your PS3 to "factory settings", i.e. it is waiting for you to tell it how you want it to connect to your TV. Now disconnect any HDMI cables you may be trying to use and connect your PS3 to your TV via a scart connection. Now switch your PS3 on and turn to your AV channel and you should have both sound and pictures.

All picture and no sound

Hi,
Silly question, but have you gone into the setup for the AUDIO and chosen the correct signal connection i.e. Audio via HDMI, AV or something else?
