using your printer once a week makes your printer clog even if you use original cartridges
i prefer using it once a day, if you dont have anything to print, just turn on your printer and it will automatically head cleaned its head
when i turn the printer on the light flashes amber several times, then green then repeats flashing amber, and back to green etc. turning it off and back on made no difference. last time it worked normally after being off for a couple of days, but now it is doing that again.
Amber light flashes 7 times, then green for a couple of seconds, then amber 7 times etc.
Error code 0150 is an engine EEPROM communication error. The engine board might need to be replaced. I have heard that sometimes a defective developer unit could cause this same error code. I would try swaping a develper from a working FS-2000D first.
OK try this Remove Power Cord from Printer, remove USB cable from PC. Reboot PC. Wait 10 mins, then connect, the Power again to printer. Turn OFF PC. While OFF plug in the USB cable TO any other USB other than the one used before. Turn PC ON. After a bit you should hopefully have a working printer. If that doesn't work, Unplug USB, reboot & then using your DVD re-install it all again.
Hi Mark, first of all,You need to check ports on Your PC ,if this printer is networked.Second, try to set sleep or Energy saver mode on printer to highest possible time.To do that, just press "Menu" key on printer control panel and go through menu to find sleep mode. And maybe best solution is to upgrade firmware on your respectable machine. For that, You need :Compact Flash card type 1,Card reader, and firmware.Obtain or download firmware files or informations about that from Kyocera web site or from Kyocera service partner in Your country. Copy unzipped files to CF card(you need to format CF card on printer -Read user manual )Switch off printer.Push card in CF Card Slot in printer.switch on printer and wait till all light flashing on printer control panel.Switch off printer and remove CF card. You can contact me if you have any problems about that machine.BR
Very late last night our power went out for about 40 minutes. Today my i9900 will not turn on. This is the second time this happens to my i9900.
The first time, I was lucky, it was still in warranty (11 months 2 weeks into it). Now its exactly 1 year 2 weeks later, and the same problem has occurred.
I believe the i9900 must have a very sensitive PC board. I have the printer connected to a UPS and nothing else in my home has exhibited a problem. I tried unplugging. Connecting to a different outlet, and interestingly, when you plug the cord, you can hear a very faint click or spark noise.
The last time, when Canon sent the replacement, I switched the power supply but that did not fix the problem. It seems the problem is somewhere else.
Anyone has an idea on how to fix? Will it require sending to a repair center? If so, any ideas what it will cost?
