Hi
If there is text with the photos on the page, set the quality to photo/text mode. If you are copying just photos then set the quality to photo mode.

Hi,
a 6ya Technician can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repair professionals here in the US.
click here to Talk to a Technician (only for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
Goodluck!

The glass is smudged or dirty or the scanner bar may have dirt on it. Cheaper to just replace the machine.

How to improve the quality of pring photos

Use Epson Photo Paper, and set your printer to "best" quality.
I could help you better if you would:
1. give model of printer
2. tell me what paper you're using
3. what the problem is with your photos.

MY LEXMARK 4505 LEAVES 3-4 BLACK BLOTCHES ON THE EDGE OF EACH PAPER IT PRINTS, TRIED CLEANING THE ROLLERS TO NO AVAIL, ANY SUGESTIONS

ADJUST THE COLOR AND PRINT SPEED You may need to adjust the color and print speed. CHECK THE LEVEL OF INK IN THE PRINT CARTRIDGES 1 From the Finder desktop, double-click the Lexmark X5400 Series folder. 2 Double-click the Lexmark X5400 Series Utility icon. 3 From the Maintenance tab, check the ink levels of the cartridges. If an exclamation point (!) appears on a cartridge, the ink level is low. Install a new cartridge. Improving print quality These are possible solutions. Try one or more of the following: CHECK PAPER • Use the appropriate paper for the document. If you are printing photos or other high-quality images, for best results use Lexmark Photo Paper or Lexmark PerfectFinish Photo Paper. Do not use Lexmark Premium Photo Paper. Your print cartridges are not compatible with this type of paper. • Use a paper that is a heavier weight or bright white. CHECK PRINT CARTRIDGES If the document still does not have the print quality you want, follow these steps: 1 Align the print cartridges. For more information, see "Aligning print cartridges" on page. If print quality has not improved, continue to step 2. 2 Clean the print cartridge nozzles. For more information, see "Cleaning the print cartridge nozzles" . If print quality has not improved, continue to step 3. 3 Remove and reinsert the print cartridges. For more information, see "Removing a used print cartridge" on and "Installing print cartridges" . If print quality has not improved, continue to step 4. 4 Wipe the print nozzles and contacts. For more information, see "Wiping the print cartridge nozzles and contacts". My epsonstylus photo rx620 images lack dynamic when copying or printing. i don't know why?

hi there...
most of the time that happens because the nozzles of your printer are clogged by dried inks, to check that, print a nozzle check, if you see gaps or breaks, do head cleaning untill the pattern becomes perfect.
pls click on the link, to get the instructions on how to to do both.
look for improving the print quality:

pls come back and give me a vote. I would really appreciate that, thanks in advance. good luck.

Bad photo quality after changing drum

your laser printer
1) print color quality is now distorted that means print skew (technician called)
2) print tint means the print color not enough density,
3) print mottle means print dirty
you may try
1) print distorted--- find out the skew adjustment from your printer manu, it is adjust the image before transfer to the drum.
2) print skew could be happened when the drum replace install not very accurate, so install it more carefully.
3) print tint---you may increase print density from the manu, not fix,
4) print tint---the toner caridge near life cycle or using the less compatible toner. so you have change the quality toner or cartridge (if near life cycle) to improve quality photo print
5)print mottle---toner quality ? or cartridge near life cycle also cause print dirty paper,

Not printing microsoft office documents, VIsta Software

Try to press the photo and copy at the same time it will print a diagnostic page
look how is the quality of the text.
if it prints very light or if it doesnt print open the access door and try to remove the ink cartridges and put it back again and make sure you hear a click sound after you put the cartridges back in and close the printer access door
try to print again a demo page press photo and copy and check if there is improvement
if no improvement open the kodak aio home center software click on the question mark(?) on the upper right corner and click on maintenance..then select printhead cleaning. After the printhead cleaning print again demo page (press photo and copy at the same time) if still no improvement on the quality of the text call the kodak hotline 1 800 421 6699..you might need a printhead replacement..

Poor photo printing

Have you manually cleaned the printheads. Bad clogs from different reasons sometimes cannot be removed by the printers own cleaning system. Use a good quality solution and thoroughly clean heads.
