some tv's always have standby light on, even iff you turn off by tv button. solution 1: with light on, press a number on remote. solution 2: with light on press stand-by button on remote. solution 3: with light on push the 'on' button on the tv set. solution 4: unplug tv set, wait a few seconds then plug back in, if no light then turn on tv using button on the set, and then channel number.
if it is wet please remoove the cover and dry it by using hair dryer .after that still the same it can be bad solder joints.
