Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.

I have a Zenith D60WLCD, I have replaced the lamp and it still will not power up. I there something I need to reset.

You need to reset the lamp counter if it reaches 16,000 hours. The tv will not turn on once this limit is reached. With the tv remote, and the tv off, push the ? Button on the remote, then 9876, then push the enter button. The three lights on the front panel will flash indicating the counter has reset.

How to replace lamp on Z56DC1D 56 inch television

as a tip Get it done professionally It is not just a matter of popping onhe out and another in. tHThe lamp has to be set up correctly and the hours reset on screen and at the lamp site as well on many models. Many on here have done the DIY option and found they have halos around the objects on the screnn, the lamp blew in 10 mis after installation and many other problems of not being able to set the lamp hours despite it seemingly being easy from the menu.

If you replace the DLP lamp out of your Zenith or LG, you will need to reset the
counter…Otherwise you may get an annoying reminder every few days if you’re
surpassed the predetermined hour mark.

Ensure the TV is powered on.

Press and hold the MENU button on the TV

Press and hold the MENU button on your REMOTE
(hold both these until the service menu pops up 5-10 secs max.)

Let go of the REMOTE button first, then release the button on the TV

Press and hold the ENTER (or OK) button on the TV

Press and hold the MUTE button on the REMOTE
(hold both until the LAMP LIFE HOURS appears on the screen)

Let go of the REMOTE button first, then release the button on the TV
We suggest writing your lamp hours on a peice of masking tape and taping it to the back the TV for future reference

To reset the lamp counter, press SELECT (or the button in the middle of the direction arrove buttons). Hit SELECT a second time to confirm clearing the lamp counter

For certain models, you might have to tweak these steps slightly… offer your inputs!

Zenith Lamp Light on

When the lamp is replaced the lamp timer must be reset. The timer is set for just so many hours and then the warning lamp is illuminated. The only way to reset the lamp that I am aware of is with a zenith programmer remote. Perhaps you can find a local lg/zen service center to allow you to use a programmer and instruct you on resetting the timer.
