Needel hits somthing inside moter tries to go but needl will not let it singer sewing machine model 3116 this is a new machine

Unless you need all the bells and whistles to sew get you a pre-1930 treadle or handcrank. I have 2 electric Singers, 1947 model 66 and 1948 201-2 both with attachments. Also I have 1903 Singer handcrank made in Scotland. The plastic new one just don't have the ability to hang in there .... All my pre 1930 Singers sew... I love them!

the zipper foot position is adjustable, not the needle position.

change the needle to see if that will take care of the problem
if it doens't then the machine needs to be checked at a sewing machine shop about the timing

well you can take the machine to a sewing machine shop & have it serviced or try do the retiming yourself

Pay attention to your width of your stitch, always turn your handwheel towards you and see if it hits before actually sewing something, then you can adjust and tighten your foot and make the right adjustment. Sometimes it is just a bent needle too, so try a new one, Good luck

Yes, put your second thread in a cup behind your machine and thread your machine like normal

There should be a screw to release the needle from the arm, it's possible the needle is crooked and the screw is holding it in at a wrong angle. Try removing the needle and then reinstall is making sure if there's a flat edge on the top of the needle that it aligns with the flat side of the entry hole, it may take a flashlight to see if there's any difference on the machine entry hole. If that doesn't work, you may need to try adjusting the plate as well, all of these things can get just a little out of alignment making for trouble. Hope this helps.

Watch your video again and read your manual, it may simply be the way your needle is inserted wrong, flat side should face the rear of the machine.
