Question about Cameras
Possible failure of the lens servo system, it can be that the driver has failed ,the motor or the mechanism is failed or jammed.
If you can tap with the lens hood on your palm with the battery removed, then try with the battery inserted back to the camera.
If not remove the covers check for the motor voltage, if present motor is faulty.
If not the processor controller can be defective.
