Hi,
A 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
The service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
Good luck!

Hi,

Try this if you have Windows 7 loaded.

  1. right click on the desktop backgound.
  2. select "screen resolution" from popup menu.
  3. under the "orientation" drop down select "landscape"
  4. click apply then ok.
Does this fix it?

I have a 56" toshiba dlp. It has a red have throughout the screen. sometimes worse then others. Is it the bulb? color wheel? Is it something I can fix? Where do i get the parts.

This sounds like the alignment of the red beam is off. There is usually a configuration tool in the menu that shows a white cross in the center of your TV against a black backgound (if it's aligned properly). It's a combination of the red, blue and green light bars hitting the screen. You should be able to adjust the positions of these crosshairs for each of the colors and "fine tune" your picture. Some of the higher end TV's even do a grid with over 100 crosshairs to fine tune every few inches or so. Once you get the red beam in line with the others and save the settings you should be good to go!

Our xbox 360 just started having lines in the backgound of the games, (example - the sky background in tiger woods 2010 has vertical lines running through it). This problems just started today.

This is the begining of a video problem. You will soon see a E74 ERROR soon with one red light in the lower right. Any fix for this will be temporary. Some time it can be fixed with the X-Clamp fix. How to do it is all over the net.

Out of Warranty pal. You can attempt to fix it yourself, but, if you don't have an electronics backgound, I don't expect you to succeed. Best replace it.

Samsung r510 Screen keeps blacking out system recovery. The scree dims when the unit is moved. Objects are visible in the backgound.

I suspect a connection problem i.e either at the plug and or pcb behind the screens cover/panel or where it connects at the body of the Laptop, (again under a panel/cover).

Get yourself a Service Manual to see how and where the connectors are just incase you have no idea where the screws are to remove and inspect.

I suggest the above as I recently fixed an IBM laptop with almost ientical problem.

Hope the above is of some help.
