Question about Sylvania G-Netbook

1 Answer

Ok, so I've followed the directions in the quick start guide and use some personal knowledge of how to connect a computer to a wireless Internet source but my netbook won't connect. My network is on a secured setting and I know the WEP key I'm just not sure what I'm doing wrong, when I search for the connection it comes up and I put everything in and try connecting but it says connection failed.....why won't it let me connect?

It is looking for a password (WiFi Network Key) You have to double click on the little computer icon down in the right tool bar area, the one with the two side radiating arcs, and possibly has a small red X under it. The red X indicates that it is NOT connected. When you double click on that icon a window called RT28701 opens up, then you click on Wireless Information tab, then you cursor down to the name of your WiFi and high light it and click the connect box. Then another window opens up called Network Properties. Uncheck "The key is provided automatically" box. This will allow you to type in your "Network Key", the password that protects your network from outsiders. This "KEY" was set up when you installed the router on your server computer. If this does not work at first, turn the machine over on it's back and using a toothpick, insert it into the little hole about an inch diagonally from the right corner of the data plate, this will re-load a new copy of everything including the WiFi RT28701 driver.
sometimes this driver gets confused. See my TIP at: http://www.fixya.com/support/r7350901-fix_synet07526_wifi_flashing

Are Vedic transcendental knowledge descends directly from the personality of Godhead?

It may be argued that Sukadeva Gosvami is not the only authority of perfect knowledge in transcendence because there are many other sages and their followers. Contemporary to Vyasadeva or even prior to him there were many other great sages, such as Gautama, Kanada, Jaimini, Kapila, and Astavakra, and all of them have presented a philosophical path by themselves.

Vedic transcendental knowledge descends directly from Krishna, The Supreme Personality of Godhead. By His mercy, Brahma, the first living being in the universe, was enlightened, and from Brahmaji, Narada was enlightened, and from Narada, Vyasa was enlightened. Sukadeva Gosvami received such transcendental knowledge directly from his father, Vyasadeva. Thus the knowledge, being received from the chain of disciplic succession, is perfect. Vedic transcendental knowledge descends directly from the personality of...

Unable to use the wireless setup wizard - I am trying to connect my pc with my wireless printer. When I try to use the setup wizard on the pc it says depending on the wireless software installed on this pc...

The Wireless Network Setup Wizard and the View Available Wireless Networks feature both rely on the Wireless Zero Configuration service to provide their functionality to Microsoft Windows XP Service Pack 2 (SP2) and Microsoft Windows XP Table PC Edition 2005. If the Wireless Zero Configuration service is not available, you receive an error message that directs you to this article. This behavior occurs for several reasons. Some computer and hardware manufacturers provide their own configuration software that replaces the Wireless Zero Configuration service that is provided in Windows. In that case, you must use the software that is provided by the manufacturer to configure your wireless network. If you want to use the Wireless Network Setup Wizard or the View Available Wireless Networks feature to configure your wireless device, see the documentation that came with your computer or with your wireless network card. Use this documentation to determine whether you can use the Wireless Zero Configuration service to configure your wireless network. Sometimes, you cannot use the Windows functionality.
If your computer or your wireless network adapter did not come with its own wireless network software, follow these steps:
  1. Click Start, click Run, type ncpa.cpl, and then click OK.
  2. Click Network Connections.
  3. In Network Connections, click to select your wireless connection, and then clickChange settings of this connection.
  4. On the Wireless Networks tab, click to select the Use Windows to configure my wireless network settings check box.

To start the Wireless Zero Configuration service, follow these steps:
  1. Click Start, click Run, type %SystemRoot%\system32\services.msc /s, and then click OK.
  2. Double-click Wireless Zero Configuration.
  3. In the Startup type list, click Automatic, and then click Apply.
  4. In the Service status area, click Start, and then click OK.

If you receive an error message when you try to start the service, see the "References" section for more troubleshooting information. For more information, click the following article numbers to view the articles in the Microsoft Knowledge Base: 815485 Overview of the Wi-Fi Protected Access (WPA) security update in Windows XP 313242 How to troubleshoot wireless network connections in Windows XP
