Need to know process for making my s9(red/black) discoverable

Press and hold the power key (under the red cover) longer than the time required to turn it on, until its indicator light is alternately flashing in red and blue. It is in pairing mode (discoverable) now. Then, make your phone (or computer)'s bluetooth application search for new devices. After a little while, the S9 should appear on-screen. Select it and make it connect. If a pairing code (or PIN, or passkey) is requested, enter '0000' (four zeros). If the pairing process is successful, the S9 should enter the stand-by mode. There could be such an indicaton in your phone (or computer) too.
Hope it works for you.
By the way, if your headset's user guide happens to be missing, feel free to download it from this location.
Anyway, please, let me know if I can help you any further.
Regards, Carlos

How do I put the motorola s9 hd wireless headset in pairing mode for a iPhone 3G ?

Starting with your headset turned off, press and hold the power button for some 6 seconds, until the indicator light flashes alternately in blue and red. It is in pairing mode now. Then, make your phone's bluetooth application search for new devices. After a while the S9 should appear on-screen. Make it connect. If a paring code (or PIN, or passkey) is requested, enter '0000' (four zeros). The indicator light will flash some times and enter stand-by mode.
Hope it works for you.

What does 2 flashing blue light mean on the S9.

Blue (three flashes) powering on/enabling indicator light

Blue (steady) pairing mode

Blue with 10 quick purple flashes
pairing successful

Blue (long flash)
standby (connected but not
on a call or streaming music)

Blue (quick flash)
incoming call

Blue (long pulse)
on a call

these are all the normal blue flashes that the s9 makes

Hear sound out of computer rather then earphone. Has worked great up until now. Blue light will not stay on. When charging light is red.

when the red light is on while charging it means it is at less than 25% charge let it charge until the light is green

Try to press the power boton in the same time you plug the charger, after this action mine is working and charging perfectly, maybe this is the "reset" solution... Hope this helps you.

Motorola S9 headset won't charge batteries

This might work if you aren't using the ORIGINAL charger. I had this problem when my cat chewed through the original Motorola charger. I figured my Blackberry charger would work fine, but it didn't. I then discovered that my Blackberry charger was 700mAH and the broken charger was only 550mAH. When I found another charger with the proper power it charged. I also found that it worked when plugging it into my computer with a standard mini USB. I hope this helps.

Cannot get S9 to connect to phone or computer

From Falvey86: Hold the headset start button for about 10 to 20 seconds, the lights will start flashing red and blue, then the search for Bluetooth devices from phone and it will appear as: S9. press "connect", a window will appear, place the password "0000", that should do the trick!!!!

Motorola S9 headset plays music in one ear

I had the same problem with a Samsung phone. There are two ways of fixing this; First, you can remove the S9 profile from your phone's bluetooth list, and then add it again, going through pairing and entering 0000 on your phone when asked for the code.
Alternatively, you might try pressing the "play" button on the right earpiece on the Motorola S9. This is supposed to kick it into the A2DP stereo mode for music listening.
Good luck.
And get a copy of the manual from the Motorola web site at http://direct.motorola.com/ens/s9/Headset_Home.asp I found this very handy for checking what the little flashing lights mean. When you get stereo reception, the little LED in the middle of the headset flashes green, not the usual blue and red and purple for voice calls.
In case you didn't know, as a phone headset, with the microphone activated, you only get sound in your left ear, and the light flashes blue. For music, you get both ears, and it flashes green. So if it ain't green, you are in mono mode.

Pairing s9 headphones w/krzr

OK I managed to get my head set to work. Make sure the unit is charged, press and hold both the 'ON' button (on neck piece) and the "PLAY/PAUSE' button on the right earpiece. Keep holding then the LED should flash Blue three times THEN flash alternate RED and BLUE. You should then be able to Pair the Device. Good luck
