We hit the second function on our keyboard. how do we fix this and go back to the original funtion?

You may want to try the following:

Try holding down the function key and hitting the numlock or scroll lock key, this is usually how you engage or disengage the laptops function keys on the keyboard.

Most laptops have a light that will turn on and off when you do this, indicating that the funtion keys are in use.

that is a thermistor error code. there are several causes for this. the thermistors are dirty, the upper fixing roller is damaged or it might have paper wrapped around it, or the connecter on the back of the fixing frame has a hair line crack in it. now you can clear this code if you you think there isn't anything wrong with the afore mentioned items.

you have to get into service mode. first you will have to shut the copier off at the main power switch and turn it back on once the error code pops up on the screen you will need to get into service mode.
you hit the
additional funtions button
then the 2+8 at the same time
then additional funtions button again
once in service mode you will need to follow the following steps

hit the copier tab
then the funtions tab middle of screen across the top
then hit the clear tab
then the err tab and hit the ok button to clear error

now you only have like 30 seconds give or take to get into service mode and to clear the error code before the machine shuts down if you don't get in fast enough dont worry shut the copier off and turn it back on and keep trying till you get in and clear it. trust me it took me several tries my first time i realized this myself.

Try a different keyboard. If the B key then works, you just have a bad keyboard.

They are actually two separate issues:
I will assume that you have funtioning speakers or headset.
1) first fix your main audio problem by re-installing your sound card driver that would normally come with your PC/Laptop or (external) Sound Card. This should fix the issue with your software volume control
2) second fix your Keyboard volume control: if after fixing your audio system driver previously, this is still not working, then you will need to re-install your Keyboard 'soft' key driver that control the extended function of your specific keyboard: the driver may also be included as part of your PCLaptop but may also have come with a 'third party' non-orininal keyboard.

If this is a laptop keyboard, there is usually a "function lock" key or a numlock key. Press the "Fn" key and look for one that says "Num Lock" or an icon on one of the keys that looks like the number keypad from a full size keyboard. Or find a key that says "Fn Lock" or something of the sorts.

sounds to me like you have setup using us keyboard as default.to check and alter if need be.
look at the sys tray.left side you have start and right side clock and various icons.next to this you will see a small arrow.not the arrow that hides icons .a white arrow with 2 file boxs above.
if you hold ur mouse on it ;it say options.click the arrow and select settings.here you can check what keyboard settings and add or select other .if uk is listed click to highlight and select if it isnt click add and select it from list.
in bios you activate numlock if you choose to
