From the installation guide for this AP, I find the following:

LED Indicators

The unit has LED activity indicators on the front of the case provide a status display indicating error conditions, transmission, and network activity for the 802.11a (amber) radio or the 802.11b/g (green) radio.

802.11a Activity LED Amber

The amber LED flashes three times per second until firmware is loaded. During boot, 802.11a mobiles cannot associate. After adoption, the amber LED is steady or flashes with 802.11a radio traffic.

The amber LED flashes once per second if an error prevents the 802.11a radio from operating normally.

802.11b/g Activity LED Green

The green LED flashes three times per second until firmware is loaded. During boot, 802.11b/g mobiles cannot associate. After adoption, the green LED is steady or flashes with 802.11b/g radio traffic.

The green LED flashes once per second if an error prevents the 802.11b/g radio from operating normally.

From this, it appears that the 802.11A radio is malfunctioning.

Here is the Motorola support web page for this device.

It may not be adopted on the wireless switch, check you config on your WS /RFS unit, another option is that the AP300 can not see the wireless switch, do you have VLAN's on your network, is the AP in the correct VLAN ?

The AP is 802.11AF compliant, so the AP is either powered from an ES3000 or from a local PoE ( power over Ethernet ) supply, the exception to this is the WS2000 or the RFS6000 which can supply power from the switch itself, If you mean when when you power off your laptop / device the AP will still flash as it picks up the heartbeat from the WS and all so some network traffic

How do i do a manual reset to my en genius EAP 300 Access point. ?

First, make sure the AP is turned on. Now, grab a pencil or something pointy and press the little button above the wrench on the top of the device. Keep it pressed down for about 10 seconds. Hopefully this will reset your AP.

I have 2 comtrend dh-10pf powerline adapters. one of the adapters status is a red flashing light and the AP light and the Ethernet light are blank. the second powerline adapter has a solid red status...

Hi,
To start you need to factory reset both adapters,
plug them both into a wall socket next to each other, press the config/f reset button, hold in until ap light goes off, repeat on the other one.
Now you should have a red status light on both.
Press the config/f reset button on one for about 5 seconds, wait until ap light stays on, this one is now your access point (ap) that should be plugged in to your router when you have finished config.
Now press the ap adapter config button again for about 5 seconds until ap light flashes, then press the config button on the other adapter until ap light flashes, wait until they both stop flashing, wait a few seconds, the status light on both adapters should be green, and one adapter should have an amber ap light.
Hope this helps.
