I dropped my Sony Cybershot DSC-W310, and the inner lens became tilted and a little dented. I pushed the lens so it was even but now the lenses won't contract fully when i turn it off and when i turn it on it the screen says to turn it on and off again. please help

Have you checked there isn't a little slider/switch on the memory card , which changes it to read only. The read only protection may have been enabled by accident
It may have had an impact or a bit of grit/dirt may have lodged in it, try a tiny drop of sewing machine oil on a Q-tip and gently lube the lens protector
this is a lens array problem probably due to the fact you have dropped it down to floor. the only thing you can do is take it to nearest sony service center and get the lens array replaced. it costs aroung 60$.
thats normal. it just doesn't have enough power to bring the lense back in. once you charge your battery and turn it on the lense will automatically come back in and then out for you to take a picture.
