Perhaps if you described the 'home stereo with a make/model' we could help you. Any available Line Level input should work.

I have the venturer stero system for my bedroom and I have an iPod adapter cord and the stero has an AUX option but I have no idea where the plug in for the cord is at and I have no ideas what to put it...

Common inputs are coaxial type (red/white). Try Coaxial to headphone jack cable, connect phone jack to your digital player and the coaxial to stereo. And set your Stereo System to AUX mode or video mode.

Hope that give you an idea...

I would like to watch a dvd i bought from america on my panasonic sa-ht880 home theater sound system but i am unable to do so

Check your manual for system compatibility- PAL/secam/NTSC. The DVD you brought from America is only rated AC120 volts. So that is not good for a 240-volts system without a transformer. Again if you do get a transformer, system difference could still stop you.

Can I hook up my steroe speakers to the TV? I have an older model

If your older model TV has red and white plugs on the back of it that say something like "Audio Out" or "Output" then YES.

Simply connect a pair of RCA Cables (available any electronics store) from the Audio Out jacks on your tv to the "AUX" input on your stereo.

You cannot power speakers without some kind of stereo/receiver.

If you do have a receiver then you can connect to your "TV INPUT" on the back of your receiver and control the tv volume with your receiver remote.

If your tv does not have those red and white output jacks then there is no practical way for you to connect your speakers.

How do i get to make tv to play through my home cinrma system

You're going to need audio (red & white) cables. Connect it from the TV (AUDIO OUT) to the Home theater's AUX IN 2 (Below Video Out). Press the AUX button and set teh Home Theater to AUX 2.

Hope this helps!

How can i listen the tv sound on the home conema? I connected by hdmi cable. tks

You have to connect audio cables (red & white or optical) from your TV's AUDIO OUT to the Home Theater's AUX IN 2 (below VIDEO IN).

Press AUX on the remote control until it says AUX 2. (This would be D. IN when you're using an optical cable)

Will play dvds with sound fine...but no sound from tv

You have to connect extra red & white audio cable from your TV's (or cable box, if you have one) AUDIO OUT to the Home Theater's AUX IN 2 at the back (below Video In). Set the HTS unit to AUX 2 using the AUX button on the remote control and you should be able to get sound.

I cant get any tv audio on my samsung ht-z310.

Red and White cable wires are usually for Audio wires. Make sure yo connect it to either Audio (Red & White) Out or Aux Out in your TV and connect it to your Audio (Red & White) In or Aux In in your Sound System/ Home theater.

WIRE ELIMNATION

For the TV:
There are a few possibilities.
1)You can connect a red and white AV cable (or the red and white portion of a red, white and yellow cable) from the TV Audio OUTPUT to the "Audio In/TV" portion of the HTS (NOTE: Many TV's do not have an Audio OUTPUT).
2)You can connect a red and white AV cable (or the red and white portion of a red, white and yellow cable) from the Audio OUTPUT of your cable or satellite box to the "Audio In/TV" portion of the HTS.
Note: Using a red and white cable may not give you sound on all 5 speakers.
3)Get a digital audio or SPDIF cable and run it from the TV, Cable or Satellite Box's Digital Audio OUT to the "DIGITAL IN" of the HTS. This will give you the best sound quality. When using this (or any of the other) type of connection, press SURR until you get sound from all 5 speakers.

For the Xbox, try hooking a red/white audio cable from the Xbox into the Audio IN/AUX on the back of the HTS, and then switching the source on the home theater to AUX.

Also, the manual can be obtained from www.usasupport.philips.com
