Forgot password and tried it several times, and it got locked.

You always can notify Yahoo, you forgot your password. then the can use several modes to help you. Ask you a security question, or send you a mail, how to reset your password.
Under the sign in button is a blue text " I cannot access my account, please help. Press that one.

its brand new and you forgot everything already if you did the google mail password assist then open that if dont know that or didnt do it can try provider for assistance and most lockouts are either 1hr or 24hr

Well . . you should try to clear browsing data of your browser by deleting cookies . . and then try logging again . . if you don't remember your password . . then . . click on forgot password and try answering security question . . which must be known to you . . and thus can get to open your account again . .

If this fails . . wait for 24 hours and then try logging again . .

if you forgot your pattern lock, just give few more tries to continue wrong efforts. at an instant, the OS will report 'attempts exceeded, enter with your gmail'. at this point just enter your email address and in the textbox for password just give value as 'NULL'. this will instantly ask for new pattern lock and you are done!

did you receive a notification message from yahoo that your account is locked? if yes, the locking time is 24hours. The account that is locked is due to multiple log ins using a wrong password. and locks after 3 or so attempts.

Wait until the lock time limit had lapsed, then log in again using the correct password.]

You may need to try and log in and hit Forgot My Password if you cannot log in again when your account is unlocked. Do not lock yourself out again, do not attempt password more than twice if you know it won't work. Each time you try to log into your account, it may restart your time and lock it down again during the waiting period.

Do NOT touch it for at least 24 hours.

If you wish to change your password after this period;


Go to yahoo.com

click sign in;

click i cannot access my account;

click forgot password,

click next

Enter in your email address, the security code and try to reset your password. You can also use your alternate email address, or security questions for this.

Then try and sign in again.

Try the forgot password feature. And make sure caps lock is not on.

Under the boxes where you place your name and password there it says Forgot Username / Forgot Password. Click on Forgot Password. They will email you your password .

Once you click on Forgot Password you will not get your old pass back.You will only get another new pass generated by the facebook support.

So you will have to use that new generated pass.After you login with that new generated pass you can then change your pass back to the old one by going into the settings or profile option.
