SOURCE: Laser Mouse MX 1000 By logitech

The following is what I ended up doingbf9ae52.jpg

Pretty much I cannibalized a pack of battery charging adapter plates, soldered the three wires to them, trimmed & bent them a little.. and then epoxied them down to the battery hold-down in their appropriate places. A little trimming was done on the plastic so the contacts could reach in far enough without obstruction.

After having the mouse sit around useless without a working battery in it.. for months, which definitely irritated me... I looked up 3.7V li-ion batteries and came across the "klic-5001 battery" (google it) and ordered two. The first one I destroyed trying to solder the wires directly to the battery contacts.. which just ruined all the internal li-ion battery components(i.e. DO NOT TRY DOING THAT)... the second battery, which I never tampered with whatsoever, is connected to the mouse via the contacts I described above. The klic-5001 batteries by the way do fit very well in the hold-down meant for the original battery.

End result: one, exceptionally well working MX1000 mouse which I can replace the rechargeable battery inside anytime it begins to get to aged and not working so well... ^_^ It charges as normal and the battery monitoring works like nothing ever changed.

SOURCE: Logitech mx1000 Not charging.

I had the same problem with the mouse MX1000 not charging when it is on its charger.
Then, I realized that I forgot to plug the adapter for the charger - this charger is not taking its power from the USB port but from an external charger!
Once I plugged the charger, the mouse recharged without any problem.
I hope this helps.
This mouse is really great, once this question of recharge is solved.

SOURCE: Logitech Wireless mouse stopped working

Logitech cordless devices are designed to always achieve at least 4 feet of good signal. Generally speaking, if you ahve the green light on the connect unit and the batteries are good on your actual mouse then it should work when you perform the synchronization procedure in the manual.

If it is still not working after you re-perform that you should consider relocating your laptop to try again from another environment (any electronic or electrical devices like zip drives, cd drives, etc can cause interferance). try it on a non metallic surface and if possible even try elevating the connect unit a few inches.

If it's still not working, uninstall and reinstall the drivers for your mouse and try again. If after all that it is still not working it's probably a hardware problem and you should contact logitech support for a possible warranty item replacement.

Sounds like you simply need to replace it as they are pretty finaky to fix. If it was dropped or jarred it may have dislogged the laster out of its holding spot in the mouse. But honestly it probally better off to just replace it.

SOURCE: Wireless Mobile Mouse 3000 not working

I suggest you do the following. After having synchronized both connecting buttons in mouse and receiver, take off battery and next look for a tiny thin button that protrudes from one of the sides where the receiver is placed in mouse, hold it depressed and put back a new and fresh battery releasing simultaneously this button. Mouse would work correctly. Good luck!!! Chawah.

My Logitech cordless mouse just stopped working. The Logitech connect device is plugged into the laptop and the batteries in the mouse are working as the green light is on.

Replace the batteries anyway.
It does not take much battery power to light that LED.
Whenever a wireless mouse STOPS working for no reason.
I immediately suspect the batteries.

You can first try switching to another USB port.
This often causes system to Wake UP and realize a new devise has been detected.

Does this happen in one spot?
There could be some device close by that is interfering with the signal.

Good luck!
Hope this helps.

Wireless laser mouse stopped working. KB OK. Tried Everything

Hi,
Under the mouse near the optical lens there should be a small connect button, press that and the button on the receiver too.
Also make sure the batteries in the mouse are new or fully charged.

Good luck

MS wireless notebook mouse 3000 not working?

A friend of mine brought me this problem with exactly the same problem. here is what I found. The small notch in usb device socket under the mouse was malfunctioning. If you press this notch you will find the mouse red light blink. If you further try pressing this notch at some point the mouse red light comes on constantly. Thats it, hold it there and try to connect first by pressing the usb device connect switch and then the mouse connect switch. The moment the connection is made the usb device stops blinking and the red light on the mouse starts blinking. Wow, it works now. Some one might just open the mouse and fix this microswtich for a permanent solution.
