The wii works but will not play games. I can get every channel and watch netflix but it will not read the disc.

Do you mean you're attempting to watch a DVD or Blu-ray disc or a movie through software like Netflix or Hulu Plus? The Wii will only play Wii (and Gamecube if it is an older system) game discs.

You no longer need a disc for Netflix streaming to the Wii. You can now go into the Wii Shop Channel and download a Netflix application that will allow you to stream the videos to your Wii.

The Wii has its own netflix disc to install on the wii. YOu do not actually stream through the computer if you go to the netflix site you can put the wii disc in your queue and they will mail it to you. Once you have it install it as a channel and you can watch netflix on your wii.

Hello, In order to for you to stream netflix from your wii, you must have an internet connection to your wii (if you need help on this, please feel free to contact me, or simply comment) along with a netflix account that includes streaming (about $7.99/month). From there, you have to options for configuring your wii:

1. Using the disc

• Go online, sign into your account, and under your account, you should find an option for streaming devices
• Select the wii, and netflix will send you a disc
• Put the disc into your wii, and follow the instructions to setup the wii for netflix

2. Wii shopping channel

• If you don't feel like waiting for the disc, the go onto the Shopping Channel on the Wii
• Search NetFlix, and the netflix channel will show up
• Select the channel, and follow the instructions to configure your Wii

Before you can watch TV episodes and movies streaming from Netflix, you will need to connect your Wii console to your Netflix account.

1. On your Wii
   If you're not already on this screen on your television, select Netflix Instant Streaming for Wii from the Wii menu. (Don't have this option?) On this screen you will be presented with a code; remain on this screen during the activation process.
   
   


2. On your home computer
   Using an online device other than your Wii console - such as a PC, Mac, or Web-enabled phone - go to http://www.netflix.com/wii. (You will need to log into your Netflix account if you're not already logged in.)
3. Still on your home computer
   Enter the code displayed on your television into the box on the bottom Netflix Web page, then click "Activate Now." (The code is case sensitive.)


4. Back to your Wii
   Netflix will now attempt to activate the connection to your Wii console. This may take several minutes. When the process is complete, the Wii will automatically display your queue. (The screen on your computer will not change. Wait for the screen displayed by the Wii on your TV to indicate the activation has finished before going to another Web page.)


5. And finally, watch TV episodes and movies streaming from Netflix on your Wii console by selecting the Netflix Instant Streaming for Wii on the Wii main menu.
