Why does food burn on bottom in my accurate oven?

Hard to say. If you are baking, lift the rack one level and use parchment paper to protect it. It seems to work for me.

I HAVE A PANASONIC SD 253. BAKING BREAD THE TOP STAY WHITE. SIDES AND BOTTOM GETS BROWN. WHY?

This is a very nice machine. If you want bread brown on top, cover pan with aluminum foil shinny side down. I dont like brown sides an white tops either. Enjoy.

Kenmore oven take a long time to heat up, but bakes just fine once it reaches temperature. Is there anything I can do to speed up the heating process?

Start earlier?
>> check all elements for current,
check seals
check temperature calibration (allowed to be 15% ie 180 can be 153 or 207 Celsius!) no wonder Margs' scones cook faster at her house :-)

My oven is not baking properly. The tops of banana bread and cinnamon rolls are browned and bottoms still soggy.

It's possible the lower bake element is not working. If the oven takes a long time to come up to temperature, that's a good indication that a baking element (bottom, broil element is on top) is bad.

At 17 minutes bread rises well but the bread is not done because the edges are only a little brown, but at 20 minutes the bread always falls!

Check the manual of your oven (ESPECIALLY FOR BREAD MAKING) you probably do not have the correct programming, when the bread FALLS it means that the heat (microwave) kick's in too abruptly (NOT LIKE IN AN CONVENTIONAL OVEN) graduated...

Good luck!

I'm having trouble with the oven. It burns if I use the temperature setting called out in recipes. I've lowered the temperature by 10 degrees but I still need to closely watch it. It cooks very unevenly....

if brown on top & bottom or left & right side / if one side is darker the look at door aliment . if top and bottom may be the top element of no pre heat ./ alway's preheat oven / cookies in the center . load the oven evenly .. also ck that the oven is level ( very important. mm its very new and it may have a warranty . for first year. mm

Oven is cooking unevenly

ladder, here are some suggestions to try to help you with this problem. Make sure that you wait another 10 minutes to put your food in after the preheat light goes out or tone goes on. The manufactures like to get that energy effecient label on these ranges. If your utensil is dark, darkened by age or glass, these will absorb more heat and can cause over browning. Lower the oven temp for these types of utensils or use a pan with a shiney finish. Make sure the utensil is not too close to any oven wall. Do not check for doneness until minimum recommended baking time. Opening the door frequently causes the lower element to cycle and provides too much intense heat. Use the second or third rack from the bottom. Finally, check the owners manual for calibration instructions. You might be off with that. Catriver...post back.
