If you can see a drain blow backwards through it.It may also just be angled the wrong direction(the whole unit). If you cant see an external drain, unplug the unit and take the cover off .you should then be able to clear it.

My handler is leaking. The drip pan has a little water in it, I see a slow drip outside during operation. Near the blower water is coming out of one of the air ducts.

Hello, most likely you have a clogged condensate drain or a cracked or leaking condensate pan. First use a wet/dry vac on the outlet of the drain line, this will usually unclog the line. If the line appears to be clean then the pan will have to be replaced.

Water flushed from unit inside the room instead of beeing flushed outside throw the out let pipe

Possible that the tilt is more to the front that makes the water drip down. Another reason is that the drain pipe can be clogged with dirt build up and so it flushes back.
Finally if the evaporator is dirty and clogged due to dirt accumulation the water might drip down to the front.
So please check you filter, use high pressure air on to clean and reset the panel.

Water leaking inside home and window seal

The problem you're having can be caused by 2 things. The drain hole in the drip pan is clogged and/or the rear of the unit is not tilted down enough, so the water can flow to the drain hole, near the rear of the drip pan. The general rule of thumb for the downward tilt is 1/4" to 1/2".
Finding the drain hole can be a challenge at times, as the clog can blend in with the hole. Patience & persistence are what's need in locating it. A piper cleaner works well to clear the hole.

Hope this helps you and thanks for choosing FixYa.

I have the 5200 btu air conditioner for my bed room and it started dripping constantly, it is coming between the seams in the front. Should we tilt the air condition on an angle so it can drip out, or do...

Yes, tilting it is required. 1/4" to 1/2' is the general rule of thumb. That way, the water will flow to the drain hole near the rear of the unit. It would be a good idea to check the drain hole under the drip pan, to make sure it's not clogged.

Hope this helps and thanks for choosing FixYa.

We live in an apartment complex and have a Trane Air Conditioner, each unit has its own central air. I believe the one in our unit has clogged drain pipes, when we first moved in we didnt change the air...

Hello You have to cut the pipe and blow out each end,You can use a 1"rubber hose from an auto parts store & 2 hose clamps, If you can't find the end. This will allow access in the future to clean out the pipes. It will slip over 3/4" PVC pipe. They sell a PVC pipe cutter but a hacksaw blade works well.Get ready for all the water in the pan once you cut!

Whirlpool Air Con Drainage issue

Yes, there should be a place for the condensate to drain outside. It's apparently clogged and the drip pan is overfilling. Look for a tube or an opening outside where the condensate should be exiting. This needs to be unclogged.

the unit needs to be tipped outward so that the lowest point of the unit is actually outside the window.
