The power button on the remote and on the DISH remote both produce the same result.

Sometimes a fuse will take care of the problem but if it blows again you will most likley have problems in the power supply
you can sub a fuse and see what happens if it blows again dont keep changing fuses though it could be anything from a bridge rectifier to a switching transistor and a cap. So you can do some checking by yourself or take it to a service center near you.

Hope that helps...

The most likely issue is that the Power Supply has burnt out, you were able to let it cool at get it to work for a while, but perhaps part of the board has melted enough to cause a short. Repairs will cost approx. $300-500.

Panasonic CT-36HX42F I turn it on and then, turns off

It seems that the electrical relay's, it getting completed is not able to create the high voltage required for proper display. Hence on switching it on, the power LED will immediately light up but since the circuit is not completed it switches to standby and then off. Get the relays replaced and make sure you connect the main power chord to a 15 Ampere rating wiring usually the line meant for A/c and hot water Geyser(called as high power line)..........sodeep

Problem is caused by voltage irregularity. Pulled plug for an hour and then plugged it back in. TV reset and it works fine. If this does not work it needs a TV technician.

I would use the warranty at Bestbuy at that point. Opening up the TV would most likely void the warranty.

No picture or sound

Make sure that there is actualy power going to the AC power source where the TV is plugged in. You can re-set the TV by disconnecting the power for about 10 seconds and then connecting it back again. If the set still does not start it will require service.

If the set is dead it is most likely the main power supply board that failed. The service tech would replace the power supply and also investigate to find the cause of the failure. Sometimes another board could have a failure and cause the power supply to be damaged.

If the set will not start up, it will require shop service. You can call Panasonic tech support to find out the authorised service rep for your area. Check to see if the set is still under warranty. If not, it will be expensive to service.

No picture but sound on panasonic plasma

Unplug the TV and disconnect any HDMI cables to the set. If the issue goes away there is a possibility that your HDMI source is causing the problem. Anything on the HDMI can cause odd problems with the TV since the serial data and serail clock lines are routed on HDMI. Those are the 2 commmunication lines used throught the TV for operation so anything HDMI that might load down one of those can cause issues.

Buzzing sound, no picture on my Panasonic TV

You might have a short causing the set not to start. Probably in the horizontal/high voltage circuit. The buzzing sound that you're hearing is the power supply overloaded. Stargazer
