I have a Sanyo Pro XtraX (PLC-XU50 A) projector. When I plug it in power light starts flashing and fan (on high speed) comes on, and power to lamp runs about 2 volts; after about 1 min. fan turns off then turns on about3 sec. later at med. speed, then shuts off again and turns back on at high speed then shut right back off and the warning light turns on. no buttons work incl. on/off. voltage at lamp plug read 65vac but lamp does not turn on. tried new lamp - still doesn't work. HELP I'm trying to repair this for a church.

That is the blink code for the lamp ballast. Here is the more complicated explanation from the service manual.

IC2301(pin11) detects the error of LCD Power C.B.A. and Lamp,
then indicates the error when an inner malfunction of LCD Power
C.B.A. occurs, the Lamp voltage becomes more than 130V or
less than 30V, Lamp current becomes more than 5A, or the Lamp is blown

Hi there

If you have the know how open up the machine and replace the fuse on the Powersupply board ( where the AC socket sits in )

If this still occurs , I'm afraid you will have to replace the Powersupply board.

usually with that model when you get a 34 eror code for lamp abnormality, its directly related to the capacitors on the Power Pwb. You can get the V26 Power PWB repair kit at the following link which repairs that issue. It contains the replacement High temp capacitors with the board location numbers and PWB identification as well as the service manual on CD. Heres the link its under their repair kit ctegory.
