My mp3 will not start, even after a charge

Um honestly .... well, if it will stay on though it's blank, it should be reformattable. If it simply will not turn on even though it's fully charged ... unfortunately it's probably destined for the trash bin.

If the player itself works OK, then it's most likely a damaged USB cable or port that is the casue.

I have a eclips 200 series , and i just got it today in the mail, does it have to be fully charged to tuen it on and to install the driver on my pc???

Yes you have to charge the Mach speed Eclipse Mp3 device continuously for 4-6 hours before using it for the first time. This is because the battery is manufactured and packed with almost 44% power left and a full efficient charging and discharging is required for the best performance and life of the battery. You can use the device normally after this initial charging. Please avoid using the device while charging. It'll reduce the life of the battery.Hope you're satisfied with my solution.Your valuable feedback would be appreciated. Thanks for choosing Fixya.

Do I have to turn off the MP3 ECLIPSE to charge it

Best charge soaks in when the device is off, or you are just partially charging the battery which is not a good thing. Only Laptop's are designed to be charged while the device is on and running. Their adapters deliver high current .

Hello
Sounds like the music or song file is not in mp3 format.Or the drive itself is going bad and may need to either be formatted or updated.
