On most laptops it is in the top area above the display. You'll only see a small circle there. They put it there so that when the lid is open and you're sitting at the laptop the cam is at the right level to 'see' you there :)

SOURCE: Hi, The screen flickers at the

Hi techsyss,

I see that you are having issue with your taskbar flickering as you mentioned in the notes.

I would be more than glad to assist you regarding your concern.

>Try to reinstall your Video Drivers on the machine or poassibly update the Video drivers.

>Try chagning the resoltion on your system try setting it to a resolution that is lower than what you actually have and see if the flickering will still be occuring.

>Also try to boot into the BIOS of the machine to see if the Flickering occurs in BIOS as well, to boot into BIOS upon powering the machine keep on tapping F1 till you get a blue screen saying phoenix BIOS as long as the word BIOS is there you are in the right page. just check if the flickering happens there, if it does then the issue is not software but most likely hardware it can be the LCD itself or the Cable conenction of the LCD to the Video on the motherboard.

>if the flickering is present in BIOS most likely you will need to have the system serviced for proper repairs and diagnostics.

I hope this helps.

Have a nice day,

Hi,,just wanna ask how can i activate my built in camera of lenovo G460e? any help would be appreciated thanks.

The WEBcam driver needs to be installed first before you can access the WEBcam.
The same model ThinkPadcan have different types of network, video and audio drivers and unless youknow exactly which one is installed in your ThinkPad, you need to download allthe drivers and install each driver until you find the right driver. When you download thedrivers, write down the device driver and it's file name so you have a recordof which driver you are installing and which directory the unzipped files arelocated on your hard drive. Go to the IBM/Lenovo WEBsite - support/download page and download the latest Windows device drivers foryour model computer, Use this link: - http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/site.wss/product.do?template=%2Fproductselection%2Flandingpages%2FbrowseByProductLandingPage.vm&sitestyle=lenovo&brandind=10&validate=true

I am trying to find the reset button on the Thinkpad R400, can you help me.

Laptops do not have a reset button, just a power button which you have to hold down until the laptop turns off and then press it one more time to turn it back on.

How to open webcam in lenovo thinkpad laptop

We ran a typical Thinkpad T400 battery of tests, including games, applications, and a couple other areas. Time constraints limited the amount of testing we could get done before the NDA lift (and it's already a few hours late), but we will be providing a follow-up article with further testing and information. That said, if there are any specific areas that you'd like to see tested, feel free to e-mail me or leave a comment.

How can i know my RAM TYPe and speed ??

The best way to know what you need is to search for it on the web type in "Thenameofyourcomuter""specs"

if your comptuer is the Lenovo ThinkPad R400 notebook
then your specs are

RAM Configuration Features 1 x 2 GB Memory Specification Compliance PC3-8500 Technology DDR3 SDRAM - 1066 MHz Installed Size 2 GB / 4 GB (max) Form Factor SO DIMM 204-pin
Witch means its only upgradable to 2 gigs.

to see what is in thier now start your computer up, Go to my computer, right click on it and go to properties. Under that it will show information about your comptuer.
