Hi.

There is no hack listed for your specific model. You can try the hacks listed here. They work on several not-listed Toshiba models. I quote :

"1) POWER ON YOUR DVD PLAYER
2) OPEN THE DVD PLAYER DISC TRAY
3) THEN ON YOUR REMOTE PRESS the following in order

2, 4, 0, 3, 9, 6 , 0 , 9

4) CLOSE YOUR DVD PLAYER DISC TRAY
5) POWER OFF YOUR DVD PLAYER
6) POWER BACK ON YOUR DVD PLAYER AND ENTER A REGION DISC
TO TEST IF YOU'VE SUCCESSFUL UNLOCKED IT TO REGION ALL. "

Note: Region hacks are NOT supported by manufacturer, they can invalidate your warranty and will affect the way the player operates.

Best regards.

Ginko.

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of.(from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones)
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
Goodluck!

Model# SD-V296-K-TU Is this DVD player region free?

I do not believe this is a region-free DVD player. I believe it only plays Region 1 or All commercial discs. The manual for the SD-V296 is available from Toshiba here: http://cdgenp01.csd.toshiba.com/content/support/manuals/userguides/su2810535/SD-V296_OM.pdf .

I hope this helps.

Does anyone know lock code for vcr/dvd player: Toshiba SD-V394SU? I want to play a region 2 dvd. Appreciate if someone could help. Joe B.

When a DVD disc is created, it is encoded with a "Region number." The disc will only play on DVD players with the same Region number - for instance, a Region 3 disc won't play on a Region 1 player.
Region 1: U.S. and U.S. Territories, Canada
Region 2: Japan, Western Europe, Middle East, South Africa
Region 3: South Korea, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Southeast and East Asia Region 4: New Zealand, Australia, Pacific Islands, Mexico, Central/
South America
Region 5: Russia and the former Soviet Union, Africa, Indian
subcontinent, North Korea Region 6: China
The only way to get around the region codes, is to rip a DVD to your computer and remove the region code. Then burn the DVD to a DVD R. There are programs around on the net, but I'm not sure it is legal in all countries.
Google for the programs.
A DVD player sometimes allows you to change the region code once. But it not even would allow you to switch back after you changed it once.

My Panasonic blu ray player DMPBD 30 does not play region B blu ray discs. How do I unlock the region codes?

Hi

The region codes or unlock hack for this model is not available, if you want to make it region free then you'll need a universal remote like a pronto remote or a One for all remote and then would need to enter the HEX codes to make it region free. It can't be done with the factory supplied remote.

You can buy a pronto remote from this link---

Pronto Remote

Pronto remote hex codes

Please ask for any clarifications and accept this solution if found helpful.

Thanks
