Optimizing performance in taskalfa 820

When you see "optimizing performance", the machine is going through a cool down cycle and will return to ready after the machine's internal temperature reaches an acceptable amount (usually appears after a large amount of copying). Sometimes I have seen it take as long as 5-10 minutes for the message to clear but if you turn it off before it finishes it's cool down cycle, most of the time the machine immediately shows the message again on display. As mentioned, make sure your filters are clean. I'd also check to ensure your exhaust fans are operational (especially those near fuser area), fuser thermistors clean and in proper position, and ensure machine has proper clearance around the cabinet so it can breath properly.

check the place of the machine.there is not enough cooling temperature for the machine.provide the recommenced temperature 16 to 20 degree.your problem will be solved.

I have a V reg 1999 Audi A4 that I am very fond of. Recently when I start the car up it begins to over heat reaching 100oC and a nasty burning smell comes through the vents. After running the car for 10-15...

It could be the thermostat not opening soon enough. It's very risky to run the car while it's overheating. Check to see if the thermostat is operating properly.

I have 2 Mitsubishi electric "Mr Slim" type

Have your system checked by a professional.
From what you are describing here it seems as thoug you have a slight leak in the system somewhere and therefore the system is not cooling or heating properly.

Have them check the system... verify the low charge, fine the leak and repair it.
Vacuum and recharge the system...

Then check the operation before you let them out of your sight.

...It can be tough to get some contrators back if you let them go before you check it...espec. if you pay them...:-)

Power Shuts off when making popcorn Why? Only popcorn.......

Popcorn is a very low-moisture food to cook, and cooking low-moisture foods often reveals impending or existing part failure in the microwave.

It may be that you have inadequate magnetron cooling or your magnetron may be going out.

Inadequate cooling can be caused by:

- failing / failed internal cooling fan
- blocked air vent or filter
- microwave cover not installed properly

We have a sound clip of what a microwave should sound like when the cooling fan and high voltage section are operating here.

There should be a "mini-manual" hidden inside the unit behind the control panel or hidden on the left side behind the grille, which is very helpful when troubleshooting, & testing.

our Web site, we have a video available showing how to remove a typical over the range control panel assembly in under 5 minutes.

Is the internal cooling fan running when you cook?

Are the air vents and filters clear?

Wont blow cold air

First check and clean the filters, and the evaporator coil. (thats the "inside" coil that has the indoor air sucked through it, cooling it and then pushing it out the vents.

If the filter is clogged or the coils are dirty, it will not cool properly and potentially freeze up.

Also check the condensor (outdoor) coil, if it is dirty/clogged, it will run hot and not cool properly.

If all coils and filters are clean, and the fan motors are running and in good condition and it is still not cooling then you are likely low on refridgerant. (handling/purchasing refridgerant other than R134A requres a CFC certification by law)

Cooling on and off

Behind the filter there should be a small metal tube that senses the temp. entering the unit sometime this is too close to the metal fins and sense the cold from the fins and not the air coming in. Make sure this is away from the fins and try a different temp. setting. And relocating the unit. These units tend to give off more heat that cooling because the hot air is returned to the inside of the room and not vented outside like window units. This is an  EdgeStar 12,000 BTU unit, correct?

Cooling problems

Check the filters inside and the evap coil to make sure it isnt filthy. The evap coil can be cleaned with a credit card if its wet. The large line outside should sweat all the way to the compressor if its got enough freon. Will freeze when its cool outside or not sweat at all if its low. Good luck with it.
