Question about Garden

Open Question

I have an ITUT-201 USB turntable that is brand new. The platter wobbles as the turntable spins (slightly at lower speeds, and very noticably at higher speeds). This causes the pin to move sideways if it is placed on the record, making it both impossible to record it properly, and possibly a danger of scratching the record. I am not sure if it is a slight problem that I could fix, or if it may be faulty and need a new part? Thanks if someone can help!

SOURCE: I have a brand-new ITUIT-201

Sometimes you can push down on the platter high side to bend it gently to get it to turn level. Being brand new, you can also return the unit for repair or replacement at no cost. The cost of these things does not justify putting up with defects like this. Good luck!

I just got this turntable, and the platter has a wobble.

First check that the adjusting screws that stop the turntable moving about during transport are fully open.
Lift the turntable matt and move the platter by hand. You should be able to see that everything is OK or anything that looks odd. If you still can't see anything wrong remove the platter. First make a note of the belt fits. Take photo's if it looks complicated.
The platter will be fixed from the spindle. It might have a horseshoe clip holding it. They are tricky to get off, but try. If the spindle has a cover, remove it. If it is glued you can force it off. You can re-glue with Bostick later.
Examine the platter to see if it is bent!

The plate on my numark tt USB is wobbiling

I find it hard to believe some of these answers. If the platter is wobbling, if you remove the platter, you'll find the spindle the platter rotates on. That will probably be loose. At the bottom of the spindle bearing, you will find a nut. Tighten that, and you should be in business. If you have further questions please visit my website at audioserviceclinic.com. Stantonst.150 turntable platter spins unevenly

Well, you have the rotor, which has above the conus where you put your platter on. But the rotor needs to be kept in space, so it can spin,
which offcourse in the is done by (too soft) bearings, but the bottom of the the rotor(which looks the same as the 'pin' where you put you vinyl on, just leans on a piece of metal, instead of a technics where it falls in a shaft too keep it is place.
You undestnd that the strength on the bearings of a st150 is much higher, especially when scratching. Besides that, the high torque works 0,2 sec and then an optocoupler samples the speed of the rotor. And it's easy:on the underside of the rotor ,there's a plastic round disc puled over the rotor and kept on his place by a plate and 3 screws, with on the outside just

The turntable belt wasn't atached and i need th know how to put it back on.

Good day. Lift the rubber mat off the platter and notice the two rather large holes in the plater. Put your thumb and forefinger through the holes and pull the platter off the turntable unit. Place the platter upside down and notice the inner rim which holds the belt. Place the new belt around the inner rim and replace the platter onto the unit. Now, with tweesers, working through one of the large holes, pull the belt onto the spindle motor. Once on, spin the platter by hand and make sure the belt does not slip off. Hope this helps

Motor problem?

If its still working then GREAT! The direct drive system uses magnetic frequency to drive the table platter. If you havnt already....Remove the platter and clean the coke off the magnet under it. Not sure at this point but hope that helps!

Califone 1420 k "Wobbling sound"

If you take the platter off you may find a rubber "idler wheel" that rides on the inside rim of the platter. It may be worn or glazed over and hardened. Might try cleaning with denatured alcohol. If that doesnt work you may need a new idler wheel. West Tech Services is a place that comes to mind that may carry what you need.

Loose / wobbly platter?

This is a common problem. If you have another 1200 turntable, switch out the platters and see if that fixes the problem. Usually, the problem does not carry over.

There is nothing to screw or tighten. You can install a new SPINDLE - and it should fix it. But might not be necessary if you just swap your platters out.

Good luck!
