Have you tried reinstalling Photoshop? It is correct that software problems is not related to what type of Motherboard you have as long as you can boot into your OS properly. But Photoshop is quite a demanding software when it comes to Ram capacity, this may also be one of the problems why Photoshop will not load properly.
if you put your vista disc in and boot from that you should be able to go to a point when it was working or do a repair install.
If you need to do a repair install make sure you back all of your data up before you do it.
You should be able to use firefox or internet explorer to navigate the C drive to navigate and find all the documents you want to save etc and you should be able to copy it to a memory stick or external hard drive.
Setting the code: 1. Press and release the "learn" button on the motor unit. The learn indicator light will glow steadily for 30 seconds. 2. Within 30 seconds, enter a four digit personal indentification number (PIN) of your choice on the keypad. Then press and hold the ENTER button. 3. Release the button when the motor unit lights blink. It has learned the code. If light bulbs are not installed, two clicks will be heard.
You will also find tutorials on the Internet, but I would recommend a book as a more complete learning method. You could also ask your local college if they have a course for Photoshop - they may do a day course. Adobe have courses, you can do these online or you can attend a class. See here:
Finally, you can get instructional DVDs. Try asking your local photography or art shop if they carry them. There are also online videos such as www.lynda.com. If you can't afford to subscribe, try looking on Youtube.
Photoshop must be reinstalled because somehow the data in the program files became corrupted, either through a virus, bad update or an accidental deletion. If you can get the disk, you should make a backup disc and also on your hard drive. There are other ways of acquiring Photoshop but may not be in your moral interest.
