Question about Fax Machines
My fax machine has come up with a message that i don't understand 'time to change PCU'. I don't think it is the toner - it has been suggested that it may be the Printer Cartridge Unit??? Can someone please confirm this?? need to find a pcu for my savinfax 3725e
SOURCE: low toner message
sounds like you have a bent toner sensor. turn the machine off and take the toner out and place on the side
what you could try to do is grab a piece of paper fold it in 4 like so
|__|__| then rip one piece like so |__|
then rip one piece off and fold that 5 times over it self.
look into where the toner goes in the middle you will see a silver bracket with a black round piece of plastic on the top left conner you need to put that piece of paper under that coner where the black circle is and turn the machine back on then put the toner in.
if this does not work you need a tech to look at it

I have a feeling that it is a re-manufactured or compatible cartridge??
There is a fuse that needs to be replaced on this unit. it blows when the cartridge is installed to reset the machine. If the fuse has not been replaced or is defective the machine will not recognize the new unit.
