Question about Lands Phones
The manual says -
1. from standby, press and hold <| until the setting you want is displayed : pulse or tone ( the symbol is the backwards facing triangle)
If the setting displayed is not the one required release the button, and then long press it again and the setting will toggle

On the handset, below the screeen in the left corner is the R button (left to Talk) green button. Press and continuously hold the R button uless changed to pulse/ Tone
