I have a 94 Buick LeSabre and every time i put my foot on the brake to slow down my car goes below 1000 RPMs it never did that before and when I come to a complete stop my car just dies. I have to start it at least twice in a row before it will actually stay on more than just a minute.

I'm trying to find out why my oil light comes on while I'm driving and the car acts like it wants to shut off in my 1993 buick park avenue. What would make it do that?

Check oil level, 1993 cars have a lot o miles on them and engines wear our. The oil light comes on just before engine damage begins. Stop driving and check oil level. If you have add more tan 1 quart, your engine is losing oil, either by a leak or oil consumption cause by worn rings, piston or engine bore.
Good luck

Buick rendevous 2002, 23,000 original miles. sat for about 5 years outside. drove fine first day. 2nd day i drove 10 feet and all oil poured out. it was coming out oil sensor. we replaced oil sensor...

Check the opening around the oil filter outlet and make sure that there is no gasket still on the housing. Fram filters are famous for its gasket coming off and sticking to the surface of the inlet. When you tighten the new filter it crimps the new gasket and leaks all the oil out. I have had this happen to me twice. No more Fram filters for me. Buy PUROLATER. Hope this helps

We got our oil changed, and shortly after the oil light started coming on, at first it only happened while the car was idling at a stop sign, or parked, but now it happens all the time, other then the oil...

have the oil changed again, some places use bulk oil that doesnot hold up, go somewhere that uses quality oil and have it changed again ive seen this on many occasions, do not run the car any more than you have to till you get it changed

I have a 1998 Buick LaSabre with 80,000 original miles. Has always been maintenanced. Problem: At a stop light, died. Had it towed home. Engine is locked up! How could this have happened???

oil pump couild've failed, allowing no oil pressure,or bearing could've spun and threw a rod bearing, usually when this happens there is some fair warnings, like oil light/gauge droping pressure or a loud knocking noise.if you didn't experience any of these I would like to know also.
