Question about Dell E177FP LCD Monitor
You will have to open it up and get to the front bezel where the switch PCB assembly is screw down to the front bezel with VERY FRAGILE ribbon cable. It may have broken plastic actuator on the button that makes contact with the TACTILE switch, the plastic assembly is not available as far as I know.
You may also want to inspect the caps.

Tips for a great answer:
On this model i believe you have to slide the button back to release perminent steam function. I am not sure what screws are on this iron as to what they are called.
