My laptop getting slow every day

Try some of these: 1. Defragment your harddisk (you may use windows defrag or a 3rd party software like Diskeeper)
2. a lot of softwares start up when u turn on your laptop. Disable the ones you don't use often. you can download a free version of Ccleaner which may help you do the needful. (Ccleaner>tools>startup)
3. Remove softwares that you don't use and free up space your Hard disk
4. softwares that optimize your laptop (advanced windows care) may help you optimize your laptop and you may see slight improvement.

What would make an hp laptop w/windows vista not turn on ,even tho its fully charged

So many things. Does it turn on at all or it just won't boot into Windows? If it doesn't turn on at all, remove the battery and run straight from the power cord. Make sure you are getting power to the computer.If you are getting power and the system turns on, but won't boot into Windows, trying booting into safe mode or using a recovery disk to start at a command shell. Remove the hiberfil.sys file and try to restart. The hiberfil.sys is a hidden system file so you'll need to use the following commands;
attrib -r -s -a -h hiberfil.sys
del hiberfil.sys

Try that. I just fixed a laptop last week and I had to delete the hibernation file in order to get the laptop to boot.

Blue screen

Hi,
Try the following steps
Start your computer, and press F8 at the Starting Windows screen.
Select Safe Mode, and then press the ENTER key.
When prompted, log on to your computer using the local administrator account.
Click Start, point to Settings, and then click Control Panel.
Double-click System.
Click the Hardware tab, and then click Device Manager.
Click the plus "+" next to ports to expand the ports list.
Select the printer port LPT1, and on the Action menu, click Properties.
Click the Resource's tab, and then clear the Use Automatic Settings check box .
In the Settings Based On the drop down menu, select a setting that uses an I/O address of 0378 instead of 03BC.
Click OK, and then close Device Manager.

Hope this helps

I have a hp pavalion dv6000. It is not coming on.

there is a motherboard issue with this model. hp did offer a free repair on the motherboard. If you still have warranty, then you will need to contact hp to get your laptop motherboard repaired. they also offered an extended warranty due to this problem, you will really need to contact them ASAP so that you don't loose out, cause the motherboard replacement cost is around $600USD.

Our HP laptop was getting hot and would shut off. It did that so many times and the other day I was getting ready to print something and it shut off on me and now it won't turn back on. Anyone know why?

The overheating problem you were having before the video totally went out was probably because the motherboard was already starting to go bad. What happens is the motherboard can't regulate the voltage as it starts to go bad and it makes the laptop run hotter then normal, eventually cause it runs to hot for to long, it burns out the video chipset on the motherboard and then no video.

The motherboard will have to be replaced or if your laptop is under warranty call the manufacturer.

My wireless light on my hp g6000 notebook stays orange when switched on instead of going blue. And the wireless won't work Seems like a habitual problem with HP G60... just purchased one and wireless...

I had that same problem, I turns out about a day later I dropped the laptop on accident and it started working again. I would not advise my way of getting the button to work again.
