Sorry to read about your problem, I hope this helps you out.

The card has failed, the really is no way to recover your pictures. In the future, this card are for temp use only, and you should back them up. a static charge from your finger, can erase them

I tried to help you. Please help me and Rate/Vote on my response. We take the time to answer your question. take the time to rate us.Thanks and good luck

Try this in another computer first. It does look as though the stick has become corrupted.
If you can get the computer to recognise the stick, pull all your data off quickly.

How do I use the memory stick in my computer to download photos?

Most computers have a universal card reader, your card should be a SD, Sony ProDuo, XD....etc, make sure the contacts are inserted correctly, if inserted the wrong way you can damage the computer card reader contacts or the camera card contacts. You can also insert the card and go to Computer and look for the Drive Letter for your camera card, click on that and it should open the cameras card to view the photos.

If formatting the card didn't fix it then yes I would replace the card.

Message on screen no memory space in internal memory what does this mean

Hello. Your camera has 32MB of internal memory to store pictures and it's full. Your camera uses the Memory Stick ProDuo memory card and their available in various sizes. A 1 or 2 GB should be fine and will store several hundred pics.

My memory stick has stopped working, nothing shows up when I insert it into the computer...I need some of the files which are stored on it, do you know how I can fix it?

Files on a flash drive can be corrupted if it is not removed from the USB port properly.
Before removing the flash drive click on the Safely Remove Hardware icon and then click on the flash drive you want to remove and then remove the flash drive when the computer message says it is Safe to remove.
To restore the flash drive you may need to format the flash drive, but you will lose the data stored on the flash drive.
If you need the data on the flash drive this program may help: -

Camera can no longer read the Sony 16G Memory Stick Pro Duo

Sorry but it sounds like the card is pootched. Very common problem with these sticks. Best bet is to get multiple 2gb sticks to ensure that when one goes (and one will) you won't lose all of your pics

Could be that the camera does not support a 2G stick. Check the operators manual.
