@ questions I have called around. Many service people have told me that the parts are hard to get, expensive. Some people do not want to service this product. Please tell me your thoughts on this. Thank you.

freezers need good door seals to work. The fact that the freezer is keeping things cool indicate that it is working but the cold air is getting out ,probably at the bottom of the door
one method of checking door seals is to inspect for cracks,hardness
use a piece of tissue paper and place under seal at door opening and try to pull the paper out. if it comes easily then the seal needs replacing

It is most likely your lifters need to be adjusted. It is part of scheduled maintenance. I think at around 100,000 miles or so. It will probably cost a couple hundred dollars.

RTG-74XN2 won't put out hot water until about 9am.


Tankless questions are complicated because these units have many parts, and both internal and external issues can cause problems. Also problems can arise from combination of issues including maintenance, incoming water temperature, pressure, air quality, venting, water quality, water pressure, in addition to internal washers, gaskets, and parts functioning perfectly with each other over time.

Hot water only after a certain time of day indicates problem might be pressure related.
Which could be local water supply, or clog in line, or sediment on pressure sensor, failed pressure sensor, dirty in-line sediment filter, improper vent, or combination of things listed.

Rheem suggests calling service technician.
Service technicians train for years on one brand of tankless, and then see something new each day.

I suggest avoiding tankless water heaters since all costs are energy.

Clogged pressure sensor after 2 years exposure to hard water. De-liming tankless will not prevent failure from hard water.

I have a 2005 yamaha r1 .. some times when im down shifting I half to keep trying to down shift to get it to go into a gear mainly 1st sometimes other gears but not so much and same thing with up shifting...

whatever service shop told you $700 was out to hose you. there's no way with parts and labor it should be over $300. so to answer your questions: yes, sharp calls it a filter, but only on some models. on the xr-10x, it's a c/w assy (PFiLWA087WJZZ). to extend the life of a colorwheel, and any other part of a projector, keep it cool, clean, and free of dust. dust holds in the heat that the projector is trying to expel. blow out dust with canned air. and you are going to need a colorwheel. you can have them replaced for $300 each, or buy the colorwheels and replace them yourselves. either way, you're going to want an authorized sharp service center. try av solutions in ny. they're really good. www.avsolutionsny.com

The fuel filter in a 2002 Nissan Altima is located in the fuel tank and is a non-serviceable item. That is what the dealer told me. You can always call up the dealer and ask them where something is located, after all you paid thousands of dollars and bought a warrenty so don't be shy about calling them up and asking them questions. However dealers can be expensive, so shop around for the best price or find a friend who can help and save yourself a bunch of money.

My Lexmark C510 keeps saying paper jam and has hardly grabbed the paper out of the paper tray. Also says "short paper". I called Lexmark who told me that I needed two parts: a paper feed roller (56P1655)...


If service were required, Lexmark would have offered to place the service call for you.

Go ahead and order the parts, if they look to complicated to install, then you can place a service. Most "C" level color lasers require on-site service and should not be taken to a dealer.

To me it really depends on how many copies the unit has. If you are over 200K it may be time to upgrade, only because parts are expensive after that point. I have always liked Canon copiers, because you don't have to mix developer, it is already blended with the toner.

Repair front load washer


We've had that same problem since we bought ours 3 years ago...but it was intermittent, and we never knew when we'd get the spin-dry cycle to work. Sears made 10 service calls, and replaced everything in the machine except the motor and motor control board. Those two parts were ordered and delivered as a result of the 10th service call. Of course, when the service guy was here, the spin worked! After he left, the next load did not spin. Frustrated, I opened the front end and looked around. I had noticed how violently the drum shook while operating when the service guy was here, so I decided to see if the wiring harness from the motor might be loose where it plugs into another harness that must go to the motor control board. There was a definite tightening of that connection as I squeezed the two harness plugs together. (I tightly secured a plastic zip-tie around that connection to prevent it from vibrating loose again) Since then, I have had absolutely no problem with the washer. I called Sears and told them I had managed to solve this long-standing problem on my own, and how, and also told them to cancel the service call to install those parts I ordered, but to pick them up and reimburse me for them. (I never opened the two boxes that arrived) They did just that, and we finally have a washing machine we can rely upon to complete the wash like it's supposed to. It's been a very frustrating and expensive 3 years, but now all is well.
