SOURCE: GE PROFILE FREEZER PFS 22 SISBSS
hopefully you have a service warranty. I have had me fridge for two years and have replaced the temp control panel twice thus far. serviceman coming AGAIN on Tuesday because now everything in the fridge is freezing. cna't get the temperature in freezer and refrigerator regulated properly. GE knows they have a problem...something in the computer panel board sticks. I'd give anything to be able to put this on the curb and buy a new refrigerator.

We are not sure what precipitated the temperature swing up; however, within about an hour of emptying quite a lot of foodstuffs from top and bottom sections of the unit, I felt the cold air start to flow out of the rear vent. Within two hours, the upper section had dropped to about 50 degrees and by the next morning to 36. The freezer seemed to recoved on its own too, having risen to almost 8 degrees and then recovering to 0. Just patience and a smaller food payload?

adjust the thermostat all the way to the coolest position and observe it for 24 hours
if it is still 62-64 degrees, then something is wrong. observe what is happening with the unit. is the compressor running, is there a fan which could not be running? or anything that you think is not right.
tnx 4 using fixya,

Most likely your computer board got zapped. It's usually located on the back of the unit. Have you tried to reset the unit by leaving it unplugged for about 20 minutes?
