Question about Dehumidifiers
Unfortunately the ice was a symptom of the refrigeration system having a leak and the charge being too low in the system. Since then the system has lost enough freon so that it no longers works...
given the low cost of these units, it will cost you more to have the leak found and repaired then it will cost to buy a new units...
Dispose of the unit properly and buy your self a new unit...

I understand that your Frigidaire dehumidifier, FDL70S1, will only work in continuous mode. Sounds like you could have a possible issue with the sensor or control panel. Are you under warranty? I would advise you to speak with your manufacturer to see if any further resolution can be provided. -Matt
