Question about Evolis Dualys Thermal Card Printer

Dual sided printing

When trying to print front and back, the printer will send 2 separate cards through instead of printing front and back of the same card. Under printer properties, I do not have access to the back side of the card, though I can create it. I can't figure out if this is a software issue or what...

Open up control panel, click on printers and faxes icon, right click and scroll to properties, get to the general tab, click printing preference, click the graphics tab, select the 6 panels ribbon (YMCKDK), and under printer settings make sure the "Print on the both sides" is enabled by clicking the check box.

First, go to the print drivers and make sure that you have a dual sided ribbon selected (YMCKOK). Make sure you have the print driver set to print two sided cards.

HID Fargo dct4500 flipper not flipper the card.

If it is printing only the front of the card, then ejecting normally:
  • check all of your settings in the driver, as well as your card-printing software, specifically those that specify single- or dual-sided (duplex) printing. Make sure they're set for 2-sided printing.
  • Also check that you specifying printing both front-side and back-side of the card, etc
  • Make sure your card design is for a 2-sided card.
If the card enters the flipper, but gets stuck (doesn't flip), and does not eject, then you may have a fault with the flipper module itself. There is a diagnostic program freely available (the Fargo Workbench Utility) directly from the manufacturer's website at www.hidglobal.com. Download and install it on your PC. It includes a printer information section that can calibrate sensors, film, etc., and also can send direct commands to the flipper to level itself ("home the flipper table"), as well as step it in either direction.

If you have an issue that is not addressed by these built-in calibrations and other tests, then your unit may need service from an authorized repair facility, like Safe-Card ID Services.

I have picked dual sided card in my start up but the printer will only print on the front sides of 2 cards instead of front/back of 1...what do I do?

I have read through the user manual for your device. It doesn't seem to cover issues with two sided prints on ID cards. I recommend calling Zebra for support. Here is their contact information: Good Luck..

I am trying to set up my printer to print both sides of a card but as it prints one side i do not have enough time to put the card back in to print the other is there a way to set up a delay

I doubt you can set a delay. Maybe try only sending a page to the printer, and then putting the paper in the other way up, and then sending the other page. If this works OK - then if you have a run, print off all copies of the one side, and then repeat for the other side.

Alternatively, if you only have the one page in, it should wait until you put the paper back in, to do the other side.

How can I print front and back on my Hp photosmart C4400?

Hello !

Unfortunately, your specific model does not support duplex (2-sided) printing.

The only way to get 2-sided printing is to manually send printed output through to print on the other side.

Hope this helps.

Hi, Make sure the rear cover is closed. 2. Usually when you get misc symbols on the printed page the machine couldn't recognize the print job. I would try printing something from another file and see if the problem occurs.
