Try removing the bobbin and cleaning the area of any stray threads or lint. When you replace the bobbin pull on the thread. The thread should pull easily and smoothly. If the bobbin is dirty inside the thread will get stuck and bobbin will get **** and thread will break.-------Check out. Thanks.Helpmech.

Asha Hello,

ok I have looked at a photo of your machine, it looks like it may have the stretch stitch. It is designated on the sewing machine per the instructions in the manual. The stitch is similar to a zigzag with a flat side to it. Check with Youtube for "stretch stitches lycra spandex". that may get you a video to watch.

Singer futura xl-400 machine software is corrupt how do I fix it.

Is this when you're sewing, rather than doing embroidery? If that's the case, you might have a motherboard problem. You should make arrangements to get it serviced.

You want to do free hand embroidery, right? I think it's better to learn by seeing sometimes. Low tenstion, straight or zig zag any width. Here is a decent Video from Youtube by a free hand embroiderer.

Cant embroider on toyota quiltmaster 50

The Quiltmaster 50 can only do free-hand embroidery. Use the darning foot. Set the machine for a satin stitch with a stitch length of 0 and lower the feed dogs. Manually move the hoop to stitch your design. (Trace the design on the fabric and place on a stabilizer if needed. Center the design in an embroidery hoop and move the hoop under the needle. In my limited experience, all fabrics need stabilizers. Some require multiple sheets of stabilizer.)

Personally, I have trouble moving any fabric under the pressure foot. This is mostly a matter of practice. You have to make a lot of scrap piece trials.

This site has the manual for the Quiltmaster 50 (European version): . See page 37 (49 of the PDF).

I hope this helps.

(who actually cheats: I either use an embroidery sewing machine or I use a late 1960s Singer Sewing machine with its Monogramming accessory. This has pre-programmed designs on little discs. That's why I don't practice free-hand stitching.)

Did you make sure that you raised the feed dogs? There is a sliding button on the front that you have to move sideways to let the feedogs come up. If not the fabric is not being move right and that may be the reason of the wrong stitching.
Also, are you oiling your machine appropriate?

Singer 301A stitch jam

your machine threads from right to left. the needle flat spot faces left. big loopy things means that the upper part of the machine is not threaded properly. as far as the needle hitting the bobbin case, it sounds as if someone removed the hook (part that holds the case) and put it back on 180 degrees off.
